Husband/ Wife (Soldier coming home)
It had been quite the while since she'd last saw him. And time took a toll, every moment that passed had left an aching pain in her heart as she waited. Every day she hoped that he would be fine, and that nothing serious happened. And each day she'd comfort herself with the letters he'd written, and savor the sound of his voice as they chatted on the phone. Kate drew comfort from hearing his voice, as any woman would when their husband was away for such a lengthy time.
This particular day was of excitement, one she'd been counting down to and becoming eager for; much like a child for Christmas. Now that it was finally here, and she was to see him again only left her all the more excited and unable to settle.
Kate had gotten to the airport, and made her way through the crowd of people slowly. Even when she was excited, she maintained her shy mannerisms as she moved through the swarming people that seemed to be going every which way but up.
Her curved, fit and tattooed form was clad in a simple pair of jeans, of which clung to her form perfectly. With it she'd put on a black tank top with the symbol of one of her favourite bands across the front. She'd carefully tugged her long, dark hair up into a ponytail, a few ringlets and her bangs falling out to frame her face. Lastly, perched upon her petite nose were a pair of black framed glasses.
She looked around the swarming people, her dark eyes searching for that familiar face, his form making its way through the crowd of people. The suspense was almost too much for her as she tried to calm the anticipation that overwhelmed her.
'Where is he? I hope his flight arrived on time..' She thought as she looked around, looking rather timid among the people that were constantly moving around her.
