Have you ever felt a sudden breaze blow through you trying to send you a message, trying to tell you that something has been amiss. I had that sudden feeling today in the kitchen, of course i knew that someone was calling me, but who? As i knew, my cat Spot was growing thin, slowly fading away, it had to be something to do with him. When it turned dinner time for my cats to devour the meat and biscuits on their plate, only one was missing, Spot. Spot never missed feeding time, he always gulfed down his food until he was full, so why was he not here now? I called out his name waiting for that silent, yet so calm, meow of his to reply back, But i heard no such a noise. Through to him being so thin, i realised, that all cats that are about to pass away hide away in a dark place until their time comes. The only dark place i knew of was our shed that had been dominated by our 13 cats, so as i opened the shed door, the foul scent of death billowed out. My heart crushed and pounded as i inhaled the deathly aroma, i scavanged around high and low, my mouth gaping and my eyes bulged out. "Spot!" i cried out, yet no such a noise replied back. The only place left to look was under the bench, i yanked back the white cushioning that hid the darkness under the bench behind and there he lay. Spot was sprawled along the cushioning, his pupils large and hollow and his body stiff while his skin was cold. Before his spirit flew into the heavenly skies, i mangaed to say my last words to him "Don't be afraid Spot, no matter where you go, i'll always be with you. The pain you endured, can now be forgotten. May you rest in peace" As i closed his eyes, i wished him happiness and peace, and to never forget those days we had together, me emracing you tightly and loving you with all my heart.
