Out of gratification
For simplification
I justified my actions.
To improve interactions.
Hoping for a reaction.
I'm treated with dead silence.

I hold the doors.
But I see you soar,
past me like I'm a boar.
Or some kind of whore.

I don't always expect something in return.
But if I do, I hope you give me what I earned.
After all it is fair.
Or is it to much like a dare?

I can put myself in your god forsaken shoes.
But know this, I did things others would not.
Be mindful and think of a response
That would not leave me in despair.
