The Backstory of... err... The Story!

Oddly enough, this idea of a story started off with the people saying thank you for buying! After the fourth today, I though,"Hey, why not write a short story for each of them?" Of course, I take days when I write stories (no matter how short they are) so writing for everyone would probably take weeks to complete, so I thought to myself, "Why not make a story that has something in common with everyone's interest? Then I can change it however I like!" Of course, not everyone likes similar things so that's next to impossible, but one particular person had something that interested me. In her favorites, she had robots and battles, which I somehow linked to tournament battles. This person also had a brother, who made it clear how much he LOVED Halo. Well with those kinda things go together nicely, so I could probably make a story from this!

The Notes

Always start off with the notes, for whatever reason I can't write a story without them... (I always end up changing the story from one thing to something completely different if I don't use notes... It's horrible I tell you, HORRIBLE!!! scream )

so-and-so FA = so-and-so Final Ascension

2071 AD - 1 FA || Earth's air is poisoned (Thinking of one) and people flee to hastily constructed space stations constructed above Earth.
1 FA - 147 FA || The space stations constantly need resources, therefore Earth is mined for the necessary supplies. This is without incident.
147 FA || The Earth's atmosphere breaks apart due to both the poison in the atmosphere and the excessive mining into Earth's core.
147 FA -151 FA || Panic spreads across the stations, and the first war between the stations begins.
151 FA - 157 FA || The war ends with one winner (Still deciding) and they force every station towards the goal of expansion
157 FA - 221 FA || The first ships are sent out, though unable to colonize the planets, smaller stations are made above each planet.
222 FA - 225 FA || It is decided that the outer planets, which are made of mostly gas to begin with, are free to mine, while the inner planets are to be colonized. Colonization technology becomes the stations primary goal.
301 FA || The ability to create habitable atmosphere is learned, and with it the inner planets become colonized, and Earth is partially restored.
