The character Korra is in the next Avatar series by Mike and Bryan. That's the animated series, which predates that "other", live-action movie. You know, the one that stole the name "Avatar". Not that the Airbender movie met with a good reception. There was quite an uproar, first over casting, and then over the way the story was handled for the Airbender movie. And then another one over the title... But that's in the past now. ;3
