The guardians of the rings.

Gatha- Guardian of the ring of glaciers.
Why the name Gatha?: ( Gatha is a type of metered and often rhythmic poetic verse or a phrase) Gatha can mean either speech, verse or a song. Even in the most isolated places life exists. With life there is music. Music can alter the very course of the life living with in it's reach. The songs of Gatha can stir you very soul.
Inspiration motivates Gatha.

Kesh- Guardian of the ring of earth and rock.
Why the name Kesh?: (Kesh temple Hymn). The hymn is one of creation and praise. Kesh is a great creator and his tireless work has inspired great mountains to stand as monuments to his influence. To earn the respect of Kesh one must not only endeavor to create but to respect what has existed before.
Innovation motivates Kesh.

Vedas- Guardian of the ring of fire,
Why the name Vedas?: ( (Vedic texts) is aggregated around the four canonical Saṃhitās or Vedas proper (turīya), of which the first three (traya) are related to the performance of yajna (sacrifice) in historical Vedic religion):
Vedas is the most ridged of the three guardians. His words are the laws in which all things must live. He speaks the laws of life. To deviate from such words will invalidate your being. What is out side this web of laws is nonexistence. To deal with Vedas is to understand the very essence of life.
Purpose motivates Vedas.

Thoughts I wish to weave through the story:

You can only be a slave by one master.
When you drink from the source of knowledge there is a price.
That price is faith.

Power is retained by attracting loyalty
Subjugation is retained by giving it.

Solace: Is against leaving the confines of the rings. Life is good for him and his family there. He plans on giving the women of his dreams everything her heart desires. Though he seems possessive at times he is actually quite a romantic. You see this further unfold when he stands up to Kesh. Building a life for a women he suspects doesn't love him is a massive undertaking. He cryptically explains his plans driving home the point that there is nothing in this world more difficult to do.

Iaion: Is the sort of guy that would likely die before any harm befell his loved ones. He is a man of action not of words. In this way he is much like his father. She knows his father left home and has never returned. We will learn that Solaces father made a shady deal that caused Iaions father to be banished. To the mysterious events no one was told a clan member was to be banished. Iaion's father was a honorable warrior. Perhaps the strongest man living among them at the time.

Rioshy- The narrator of the story. He says the events that took place in this story are his fault. That he did something horrible. He alone suffers with the memory of a land and a time in which he speaks of. It appears that he is telling the story to Hinote. We do no know exactly what her fate is only that she must not recall the events. Rioshy is a by far the most passionate character. He uses this passion to fuel the others to fallow him into the unknown.
