Vivian paced the room, twisting her hair around her fingers nervously. She had been waiting for hours on him to return and with every passing moment her worry grew. She was growing sick with fear and anxiety was starting to set in. He had left her in this house alone as he went off to find some source for their salvation. They were destitute and left wanting and hungry but she knew he would never leave her or betray her trust.
Many scenerios played out in her mind. Was he alright? Who knew what fate he could have met in the night, alone.
