Keeping in Mind...
Pretty much anything that won't fit in a facebook stat, or what I feel like writing. Random facts, or shocking details.
I never really liked Avatar.
Avatar, the so called "revolutionary" movie. I never really liked it. stare

First of all, I hate the main character in it. I mean, the guy abandon Earth for his new planet! Pandora was an old planet, Earth a young one, all life forms can't connect the way they can on Pandora. Without people to help protect it, the Earth will never grow old. I heart Earth, and I think that guy is a b*****d for abandoning it. scream I grew up around nature, when I was with my dad I was constantly part of the ocean and with my mom I was part of the mountains. How dare that sucker ditch all of that, instead of trying to protect and save it, for his new world. I probably wouldn't have so much of an issue if he didn't call Earth a 'dying' world. Stop complaining, we can save it! scream
I hold the firm belief that there is an equalibrium, a way that technology can exist, and the environment can thrive. We can almost do it. I see it in my mind. If only we could switch to solar power... That's the first step.
Oh, I got distracted. Back on Avatar. My friend calls it racist, for her own reasons, something about the voices for the Na'vi. The natives are all voiced by African Americans, and one Choerokee. My mom thought about it and agreed with her. It was basically some random white guy, who mastered their culture absurdly fast, and became their leader. It also made it seem like they needed the white guy in order to win. Stupid. Yeah, I can't really approve of it. Don't let the effects fool you. This is a substandard plot, full of shallow under developed characters. I mean, the main male Na'vi suddenly is okay with the main guy just because he managed to ride something really impressive. I don't care how special it is, the dude would not start calling him brother, not for at least a few years, or unless he actually saved his life. The fact that guy calls him "brother" shows a distinct lack of commitment, and depth. The character didn't feel real.
