Im writing a book and I wanna put it here 1st I'll put it chapter by chapter smile





I often wonder why I was put in this world. Having to live through an eternity with the staring, the gossip and the feeling that something is coming after me, all this for an eternity. It’s just too much! I’ve lost many friends and comrades to those who seek my father’s throne. I am the prince of the shadow worlds and I am treated like an enemy. Like a-the very thought sickens me…-a fairy!

As I walk to my father’s throne room, I see maidens (harpies) staring and gossiping as always. I never understood why blood fills their cheeks and their heart-beats accelerate when I pass by. Is there something wrong with me?
I had finally escaped the peering eyes of the harpies when I reached my fathers throne room.
“Enter my son! It is a glorious day!”
“What is it now old man?” I saw him flinch at the comment. He hates it when I call him that.
“Well we can finally start your training in the human world.”
The human world? I was speechless. I’ve always dreamt of leaving this castle and going there but I never thought I’d be able to do it so soon. I saw my father’s reaction to my face as he let out a smirk and I made a wide grin.
“Th-thank you father.” I made a bow and left the room.
I can’t believe it! I’m going to the human world! I ran quickly to my chamber and might have “accidentally” bumped some harpies along the way. As I got there I readied my things: gold, clothes, spell books, and other essentials. I heard a knock on my door and I allowed them to enter.
“Master, his majesty requests that you join him for luncheon.”
I nodded and let them lead the way.

As we arrived outside the dining room I heard shouting. The servant girl was too afraid to go inside so I dismissed her and went in. When I arrived they all stopped talking. This irritated me. What were they saying that I could not hear as well? As I sat down next to my older sister Violet, I saw she was looking very upset. My father broke the silence.

“Demitri, you shall leave for the human world in two days time. The enchanted mirror shall be given to you by then. We will have a feast tomorrow to say farewell.” I saw Violet growing angrier with every word my father says. I nodded.

“But I have a warning for you…” he continued. “I have granted your request of going to the human world. But when you are in your human form you have no access to any of your powers. You will have to rely on what you have learned for times such as this. It can be very dangerous there.”

Violet stood up and slammed her hands on the table. “Well if it’s so dangerous why would you send him there? You could send Scarlet or Nikoli or Me!”

“Demitri is my eldest son,” His voice was getting stern. “And therefore he is next in line or the throne. He must go to the human world and be trained properly. And Nikoli and Scarlet shall go soon after your brother is done with his training.”
Violet’s face turned blank.
“Does this mean I get to go as well?” some of the anger left her voice.
“I am concerned about your safety for there are many dangers there, but I might allow it once we find a-”
“A cure?” she cut him off anger returning in her expression. “You always say that we’ll find one but we still haven’t!” tears were forming in her eyes. “I’ll never be able to leave this prison! I’ll never master my powers. I’ll never be able to…” she trailed off and we ate in silence afterwards.



After that… awkward meal, I left to say a temporary farewell to the few things I love about this castle. First I went to the menagerie to see all the animals I once cared for. I saw my Pegasus, Anselmo and thought of how I would sometimes brush his wings. I stroked his wings remembering those times and smiled.
“I’m leaving tomorrow boy. And I don’t know when I’ll be back.”
He let out a whine and I put my saddle on him. The other animals must have heard me because they suddenly became restless. The stable boys had no choice but to let them out to give the other animals a chance to say goodbye. Dogs came running from the kennel: Griffins came from their cages, Fauns left their stables and before I knew it I was surrounded by animals.
“The animals would like to say goodbye master.”
They looked so sad knowing that I would leave.
“I’m sorry to have saddened you my friends. But I must go to the human world.” They started moaning and I could see the sadness in their eyes. I started to remember the times I played with them. “It’s my dream.” I continued “I’ve always wanted to go there. It is my dream. But I’ll be back.” I smiled thinking of how they would react when I get back. How would I be like? Would I have changed?

I saddled Anselmo and flew to the next place I treasured: The Silver Forest. Anselmo and I stayed under the shade of a large tree. We watched as some of the children played hide and seek.
“This is one of the places that I shall miss once I am in the human world.”
Anselmo let grunted. I stroked his tail and he lay down behind me.
“I wish you could come with me, but I’m afraid you would draw too much attention.”
He grunted again but I could clearly understand what he said. “Do you really think that? You know that I am good at hiding”
“I know. I’m sorry Anselmo.”
“Fine, I will miss you though”
“And I you my friend”

We rode back to the castle and I went to my room. I remember back when I was a child I would sometimes sneak in Anselmo and I would get punished for it.
I went into my chamber and there I found the magic mirror. I stroked the glass and suddenly the mirror started to glow. I saw myself in human form, without any powers. Could I e dreaming? Than I changed back to my normal self and put the mirror down.
“That was strange.”
Just then I heard a knock on the door.
“Hey Bro!” and a smiling face came into the room. It was Nikoli, my younger brother. His freckled face and green eyes cheerful, but with a sadness in them I could sense, on his skin not quite as fair as the rest of us for he is always in the sun lay a huge smile streaked across his face. The sight of his smile lit up the room. “That was some meal wasn’t it? Dad’s still pale as a ghost!”
“You got that right” I said with a laugh.
“So, the human world huh?” he said, serious this time.
“Yeah, I can’t believe it”
“I can’t help thinking about what Violet said. Are you sure you’re ready for this?”
“Sure!”
“Okay then” he said back to his usual self “but when you’re back I’ll be able to beat you” He smirked.
“You wish” I said with a grin.
“Okay see ya bro I’m gonna go to my chamber.” he said grinning.
“See ya at dinner!” but he already eft slamming the door as he always does.

I lay on my bed, staring at ceiling that was covered with dazzling stars. I saw one shoot down and I closed my eyes to make a wish. I wish that going to the human world will be an unforgettable experience. And that’s when I heard knocking on my door, and an adorable face came peeking in.
“Demi?” It was Scarlet, my younger sister. She was in her crimson dress that matched her long flowing hair, a shy smile so sweet and gentle, her eyes the same color as her hair, her blushing face as sweet and as innocent as she was. You could tell whey her name is Scarlet.
“Yes Scarlet? Did you need something?”
“Well… uh Demi I heard that you were going to the human world. And… I wanted to know if it was true.”
I touched her cheek and smiled
“Yes it is Scarlet. I hope it is to your approval for you do know that traveling to the human world has always been a dream of mine.”
She nodded. “I shall miss you dearest brother.” She said reverting back to her normal speak. (I swear why Nikoli taught us how to speak like that I’ll never understand.)
“And I you dearest sister” I squeezed her in a tight hug and whispered in her ear. “I’ll be back soon ok?”
She nodded, tears forming in her gorgeous eyes. I wiped them away.
“Do not cry my precious little sister, for you shall be able to see me on my training through the magic mirror. Though there are times that I may not see you, know that I shall be thinking of you and what I shall do on my return” I kissed her forehead and led her to the dining room.

In the dining room I searched but Violet was nowhere to be found. Father must have seen me searching because he answered my unasked question.
“Your sister shall not be joining us tonight. I’m afraid she is too saddened by your leave to come out.” I nodded. I gave Nikoli a questioning look and he just gave me a shrug. And before I knew it, dinner was done.



I went off to mother’s terrace and saw her watching the twins, her long black hair going all the way to heir waist. I shall miss my mother, her kind blue eyes always watching me, her beautiful lips always in a warm, gentle smile across her pale blushing face. And the twins, Elli with her hair almost reaching her waist and Eli’s hair cut to make it look almost like mine, their bright faces always full of hope and happiness, their glittering blue eyes always joyful. I shall miss them so.
“Well hello Demitri. What makes you come here so late at night?”
“I was just here to say goodnight mother. I must sleep early to be able enjoy the festivities tomorrow, father has organized a feast before my departure to the human world.”
“Ah yes. The human world”
Eli and Elli stared at each other in shock and I saw my mother give me an apologetic smile. I should have known that she wouldn’t tell them to spare their hearts of the sadness. I know that some people think of Demons as Evil and Bitter but they are wrong not all demons are like that, especially my dear mother. She smoothed their backs and I smiled.
“Where is Demi going?” They asked simultaneously. “Is he leaving?”
“I’m going to the human world for a while.” I said smiling warmly. “Father is sending me to train there.”
Tears started to form in their eyes.
“Oh no don’t cry little ones. I’ll be back soon okay?”
Eli nodded and held back his tears but Elli started to sob and cry like I was never coming back.
“Hush now little one. I shall return with stories that you may enjoy. Hush now, do not cry, please?” I dried her tears and gave them both a hug. I told them a poem that they always enjoyed.

Hush now little one the sun will rise once more,
As the morning dawns the birds will start to soar.
I will come back for you little ones this I shall do,
All this I do because do I love you.
Goodbye little one I will always be here,
To scare away the darkness and to drive away the fear
Farewell little ones I am always here with you,
In heart and in soul this I say be true.

They started smiling and I gave them each a hug goodnight. Mother seemed pleased that they were not as saddened as they were before,
“Goodnight mother, Ellli, Eli.” I nodded at them.
Before I could leave mother placed her hands on my forehead. “May you dream sweetly my son and be filled with joy and love until the new day dawns.”
“Thank you mother”
“’Tis no bother dear.” She smiled warmly.
“Wait! Wait!” The twins called. “We wanna give him something too.”
Mother gestured to me “Very well then, why don’t you show him what I have taught you.”
I crouched down and saw their puzzled faces. ”What is it you would like to give me dear ones?”
They took each others hands and a faint glow came from inside their palms. They opened their hands and came out a necklace. It was but a black felt rope with an iron lock in the ends, in the middle of the felt rope lay a star, a real star shimmering in the little room. I felt tears forming in my eyes but I held them back. A prince must not show weakness, especially if he is to be the next king.
“It isn’t very good since we aren’t that powerful yet,” Elli said blushing.
“But we were hoping that this would protect you on your training and to help you think of your bedroom while you are away.” Eli said.
I strapped the necklace around my neck. “This is marvelous!” a huge smile streaking across my face. “Elli, Eli! How did you get this while you are still so young? How have your powers matured so?”
They both made a gesturing look to mother and smiled shyly.
“This is amazing mother! They have done this and they are still strong. Is there something that they have done to enhance their powers?”
“No Demitri, they have done this under their own ability”
“This is wonderful, I shall give you a reward” I did the same thing they did but this time, I took twin stars, each in a little bracelet I could feel the warmth of the stars in my palm, I am so proud of them. “Here,” I smiled “so you always know where to find each other and you may contact me with these.”
Their faces lit up and they jumped at me for a big hug.
I laughed “Put them on!”
They strapped the bracelets on and we could all feel a blast of energy flow through us.
“Well I must go now, the midnight approaches and I have not yet enjoyed a night of sleep.”
“Goodnight Demi!” the twins said simultaneously.
“Goodnight dear.”

As I lay in my chamber staring at the shimmering ceiling, I found myself unable to sleep. I was startled by a knocking on my door.
“Come in”
“Demi, have I awoken you?” It was Violet, her long black hair reaching her thighs her deep blue eyes filled with sadness, her beautiful face covered with tears.
“No Violet, I could not sleep. What is it you need of me?”
“I just wanted to apologize for my misbehavior during luncheon. It was wrong of me to have acted that way.”
“’Tis of no matter sister, all is forgiven.”
She let out a happy smile “I wish I could have gone as well.”
“You may be able to someday.”
“Maybe… Once our father finds his imaginary cure.” It was clear that she did not believe that we would get a cure for her mysterious disease.
“We will find one you know.”
“I know, but when?”
“Maybe I’ll find one in the human world.”
She rolled her eyes and laughed. “Maybe. Be careful out there okay? May luck and happiness always follow you dear brother.”
“And you as well dear sister.” I smiled. “I shall try searching in the human world.”
Tears were forming in her eyes but she was holding them back. “Thank you”
