"Oi, Sarah! Wake up, will ya?" Sam asked loudly, poking the mentioned girl in the head to try and wake her up. She had fallen asleep about twenty minutes before class ended, and now they were going to be the last people out of the room! "Hey, wake up!"

Groaning, Sarah picked her head up lazily. "Huh? Oh, class is over..." she mumbled, rubbing her head.

"Yeah, it is, so let's get going already! I don't want to stay in this school for another minute!" Throwing his arms in the air, he threw his books all around. "It's time to get out of this damned place!" Looking around, he picked up his books and headed for the door of the room. "You coming?"

Nodding, she grabbed all her books and held them against her chest, following her friend out of the room. "Why do you hate school so much? You get good grades!" she told him as they walked.

"Because it's stupid, and a waste of time!" Sam told her, tapping her head as if to push the information through her skull. "It's perfect time that could be used playing video games or practicing for upcoming games!"

"You're such an idiot..." Sarah mumbled under her breath, waving away his hand with her own. At their lockers, she opened hers and put most of her books in, keeping one or two for homework purposes. Glancing over at Sam, she noticed that he had just shoved all his books in, slamming the door with his foot. Closing her quietly, she walked down the hall, leaving him behind.

"Hey! Wait for me!" he yelled, running after her. As soon as he caught up with her, he began to keep her pace, breathing heavily. "That was mean, you know that, right?"

"Yes, but you deserved it. You need to treat your books with more respect." Smiling, she continued walking. It was only a few minutes from the school to her house, so they'd get in some conversation before then.

"Well, you know I hate school... And you always fall asleep during class! What do you call that?!" Sam accused, flailing his arms about to try and get his point in.

"I still get good grades, just like you." The female laughed a little. He always acted so cute, even though he was a little spazzy at times.

"Hey, what are you laughing at?" he asked, staring at her uneasily. Sure, he was pretty damn funny at times, but he didn't know that he did anything to make her laugh.

"Oh, nothing you need to worry about~" she told him, sticking out her tongue a bit. "Now, it seems we're at my house! Good bye, Sam!" Turning on her heel, she ran towards her house, eager to eat, then take a nap.

"Uh, bye..." Sam waved. When she closed the door, he sighed. Walking home, all that was on his mind was Sarah. Her light brown hair, her golden eyes, her perfect figure. How she was always nice to him, even if he teased her. What the hell am I thinking? She just likes me as a friend... Right? he asked himself. Then, he mentally face palmed. Of course she only like him as a friend! If not, she would of asked him out already! "Well, I guess that's that..." Walking into his house, he went to his bedroom, where he locked himself in, falling asleep immediately.

~Early the next day~

"Hey, Sam... Wake up, Sam..!" Same tossed and turned during the night, only hearing Sarah's voice in his head. Until, of course, he was hit on the head, causing him to wake up in pain.

"Ow! What the hell was that for?!" he yelled, not knowing who the person was. Turning over, he saw that it was Sarah.

"And you say that I sleep too long! Come on, we're gonna be late for school!" she told him, waving a finger at him. "Now hurry and get dressed! We only have a few more minutes before school starts!" Looking at his alarm clock, he noticed the time. 7:56. They'd have to run all the way there so even make it before the first bell! Unless they didn't go...

"Hey, Sarah, you want to skip school today and just go out?" Sam asked out of the blue. This hung in the air for a moment before it struck the girl like a ton of bricks.

"Wh-what are you saying?! We can't just skip school! We'll get--" She was interrupted by a hand being slapped over her mouth.

"Hey, don't yell so loudly. If you stay quiet and act like we're going to school, we can get away with it," he told her, giving a smile. Her flustered face seemed so cute to him. Though, she seemed to calm down quickly, being the person that she was.

"Nngh... Fine," she told him pushing his hand away. "Just hurry, okay?" Sam nodded, getting up and quickly pulling on his uniform. As soon as he was finished, it was almost eight. Running to the door, they announced that they were leaving, and ran down the road in the direction of the school.

"Okay, we can stop running now," Sam told Sarah, trying to catch his breath.

"Well?" she said, turning to him and crossing her arms - lack of air from running didn't phase her in the least.

"Well what?" he replied, standing up straight.

"W-well, you just asked me to skip school with you so we could 'go out'. Are you technically asking me on a date?" She stared at him uneasily, trying to read his face.
