Okay, so I've been waxing poetic, especially today. I've been sitting at my desk with a mug of cranberry-blood orange tea (Best. Tea. Ever.) and coming up with a bazillion lines that have nothing to do with each other. Lol.
But I DID come up with two little stanzas that I like.
I reach out for him and hear my breath stop
But he backs away, stealing my heart.
She steps between us, blood on her hands,
She asks that we forever part.
Her heart was once broken,
But mine was shattered long before.
He thought I couldn't take any more anguish
But he follows her orders and only causes more.
