☣ Personality
⊱ Manjit, for the most part, is calm and calculating. His mind is his most powerful tool and weapon - both figuratively and literally. Highly perceptive of his surroundings, Manjit isn't one who likes surprises and prefers to see the whole picture before making a move. His is a pleasant demeanor and he tries to keep an open mind when it comes to meeting new people and traveling to new places.
He is, generally, a mischievous and fun-loving individual. He is not above saying and hinting at things that make other uncomfortable. He likes to see others squirm, but doesn't derive intense pleasure from it or anything - just a way to get him to grin and move on. Manjit likes to give people nicknames that he refers to them by - probably because he is known to forget the names of people he either just met or don't find important enough to remember (on rare occasions).
However, due to his powers causing so much mental stress on him, he has been known to slip into a rather unstable state of mind. When that happens, he is generally anti-social and irritable. Quick to anger, he is known to go on rampages in a blind rage - or if he misinterpreted a situation (which happens more often than one would think). He rarely speaks when he slips into this state, whatever words he manages to get out are either grunts, growls, or broken sentences in his native tongue of Sanskrit.
☣ Biographical Notes
⊱ Manjit is the leader of the group.
⊱ He is originally from India, and lived with his grandfather following an accident that killed both of his parents. His grandfather loved to tell him myths and stories, thus influencing Manjit's penchant for story-telling.
⊱ Manjit likes to cook - especially for the members of his group. However, he is notorious for using a myriad of spices that could destroy anyone's palate - all the while saying that it gives the dish its "flavor and character." It's not that he's a bad cook, he just doesn't know what it means to be "light" with his spices.
⊱ All of the members of his group have nicknames/code names. They were given to them by Manjit, and tend to reflect either their powers or their personalities.
⊱ He seems to understand very well how the people of his group are affected by their powers. Because of that, he works to help them control and accept them.
⊱ His powers are purely offensive. That is, he can create energy blasts simply by thinking of it. His powers are heavily influenced by his mental state - the angrier and stressed he is, the more destructive his powers become.
☣ Relationships
⊱ Kamali Chaka
⊱⊱⊱⊱ Aryaman. Aryaman means "bosom friend" in Sanskrit, and that's what Kamali and Manjit were as children. The two of them were so close, any observer would think they were brothers always at each other's side. Kamali's powers started to awaken at the same time Manjit's did, and the former was ecstatic. Manjit, afraid and confused as to what was going on, pushed Kamali away in order to cope with his own powers by himself. When Manjit's grandfather died, though, Manjit felt that he had to leave and skipped town in the dead of the night. Unfortunately, he left right when Kamali needed him the most (having killed his family in an attempt to gain control of his own powers). Kamali interpreted Manjit's departure as a betrayal of their friendship and this misunderstanding has spawned a bitter feud between the two of them.
⊱ Maha Syudo
⊱⊱⊱⊱ His adopted younger sister. No, his parents didn't adopt her - Manjit, himself, did. Funny thing was that he was no older than about 18 when he did. From the moment they met, Manjit thought there was something special about her - and it didn't take long for him to discover that she had powers like he did. There was an odd sort of attachment between them and Manjit decided he was going to take her in and give her a "home" of sorts - or at least a place she could feel like she belonged (since she was an orphan living at an orphanage). It was he who bestowed her with the name of "Maha," and he was the one who guided her in learning how to control and grow her powers. Maha is very precious to him, and sometimes he assumes a father-like role when it comes to dealing with her.
⊱ Yasuo Syudo
⊱⊱⊱⊱ His adopted younger brother. While Maha was the one who had found him the first place, Manjit was quick to welcome him into their "family" of sorts. Because Yasuo is older than Maha, making him the middle sibling, Manjit relies on him to watch over their sister when he can't. Manjit's trust in Yasuo is pretty much unconditional, and he is their group's second-in-command. Though, it should be noted that Yasuo does sometimes take command when his brother is unable to.
⊱ Sergei Yoslov
⊱⊱⊱⊱ The first member of their group to be formally recruited. Sergei's powers were pretty much developed when Manjit and his siblings came across him, and this was the first time Manjit truly wondered if people with special powers like him can live among normal humans and have normal lives. Sergei's strength is a welcomed addition to their group, and Manjit was relieved to have some help in looking after his adopted siblings (Maha especially). Manjit expects a lot from Sergei, since he was in the Spetznaz and all.
