everyday chemistry
this journal is pretty much random. Interesting stuff thats happened to me, how my day went, things I have learned, rants, and just about everything else.
so tired... but not.
Lately I've been feeling a little strange. At night I am wide awake, regardless of what time I went to bed the night before, but as soon as the sun comes up all I can do is sleep! At first I blamed it on a sleep shift due to watching two sick kids for four nights, thinking that i was possibly just thrown off balance by having to attend to them at all hours of the night. It got to the point to where I was staying up until about 12 in the afternoon and then waking up around 6 or 7. Needless to say a lot of people were pissed. You'd never believe how many people actually want to get ahold of me only when I decide to sleep. But anyways, now that I am back to babysitting(had a 4 day weekend after the kiddos got sick) I am trying to get back on my old sleeping schedule, and man, it is becoming damn near impossible for me! Even though I went to bed around 3 am last night, and got to sleep in till around 10, I am still feeling ******** exhausted, like I haven't slept in a couple days. And I know that feeling because I've had many times where me and stephen have stayed up for days just because we were trying to beat a video game... mostly Lunar or FF8 lol. It's a pretty shitty feeling.
Now normaly I would'nt mind the sleep thing so much, considering I technically have a night job, but two problems arising that are pretty much non negotiable. For one, the lady I babysit for now wants me to watch her youngest child during the daytime(as well as nights) because she wants to get some sleep after work and her child is such a little heathen that she cant go, oh let's say half a ******** second without leaving the house, or putting pepper in your eyes or ripping up/spilling s**t, or smashing up eyeshadow and smearing it all over lamps, couches and whatever else she can get her hands onto(eyeshadow is reeeeally hard to get out of lampshades and your new lazy boy couch by the way). Did I mention that she's only 3? A very, VERY smart 3 year old I might add. She knows what she's doing is wrong, she just doesnt give a damn(as she explained to me before). But anyways as you can see I will be getting just about zero sleep with her around, and as it stands I'm now watching her(along with her 9 year old brother at nights. who is just as bad btw) about 19 hours out of the day. which leaves me with 5 hours to shower, eat, do laundry, dishes, clean up after the monstrous messes they've left in their wake along with a billion other house related chores, and have free time to myself. I'm sure you can imaging I'm a little stressed. I'm getting paid 75 bucks a week to be a nanny. Fun times.
problem 2 is my trip to oklahoma coming up in about 4 days. I HAVE to get back to a normal sleeping schedule for this. It will be the first time I've seen my husband since dec. and I want to squeeze in as much time as possible during those 2 days. I have from about 9 am to 8 pm for 2 days to see him. And thats usually when I'm sleeping so i gotta try to fix this otherwise I am going to be one very tired(but happy) girl. I just hope I'm able to at least get myself up in the mornings. I love my sleep so very dearly. Once I get into sleep mode it's almost impossible to get me up. I will hit the proverbial snooze button until I practically force myself to get up lol. Just really ******** love sleep.
But all in all, I suppose I'm not too worried about things. Everything always works out for me in the end for some odd reason. I'm just annoyed I guess? I dont know. But I do feel like taking a nap. xd
