Number XIII: Jason
This is a story of a Nobody I came up with, hope you like it! Jason also appears in Mia Sage's RP Keys of the world. This is my original concept of Jason it does cross over into tales of Symphonia, this is not for fangirls, this was based on a dream I had.

~Neo-Organization XIII Files~
~Number XIII: Jason~

Personal information:
Hair: light brown
eyes: dark brown
weapon: Tarot Cards, but primarily uses Keyblades
Other: Not supposed to exist
Location: Unknown

File One:
Jason stood on the roof of a large skyscraper in the center of a large city. The people below on the ground looked like ants as they bustled on their way about their buisness. No one took any nottice of him, to all the world he was just a shadow.

In a sense, that was exactly what Jason was.
Jason stood still as a statue, the only people who could've seen him would be those in the neighboring skyscrapers, but they were all hunched over desks typing on desktops furiously. There wasn't much to see of Jason anyway.

The wind ruffled Jason's black coat, and shifted his hood revealing dark brown eyes. He raised his head slightly, a slender silver figure swooped down to him. It had a humanoid appearance with a seal on its brow. It was the seal of the old Thirteenth Order with a gold cross a little add on by the New Thirteenth Order.

"Did you find him?" Jason asked the creature. The creature nodded in response. Jason nodded to indicate he saw and vanished in a cloud of roiling darkness.

*The Docks*

Jason rematerialized on the prow of a large ocean liner that would soon depart on a cruise around the world. A man in a black hoodie darted through a maze of boxes trying not to be notticed by security, tuorists, or anyone in general. But for all his efforts, Jason saw him clearly. After calculating his jump Jason leapt off the cruise ship gracefully and landed noiselessly on a large metal crate. He darted over ten more silently, then leapt down in front of the man.

The man came to a sliding halt, "Who the hell are you?" he asked ina rough voice, "And what's with the outfit? Some kind of cosplay geek?"
Jason said nothing, the Dusk he sent out was right, this man had an unsually strong heart.

The man took Jason's silence as stupidity, "What's wrong? Can't talk? Feh, you anime geeks know nuthin...Not like me, gangsta life gotta be rough and tumble to surrvive. We're havin' a showdown tonight, you betta head off before you get a boo-boo."

Jason chuckled, "Unfortunately I'm not a geek." A Dark Keyblade appeared in his hand and lunged at the man.

The man yelped and staggered backwards, but could not dodge Jason.
Jason plunged the Dark Keyblade into the man's chest, right into his heart. Darkness seeped out of the man's chest engulfing him. The man screamed and tried to pull the Dark Keyblade out but to no avial.
The man vanished in a puff of darkness, only his heart remained. The Heart was enveloped in darkness and a large armored creature with a large sheild appeared.

"A Defender..." Jason said, "Not bad...Any time now..." He looked over his shoulder as another robed figure appeared. The figure was dressed exactly the way Jason was, except was taller and appeared to be female.

"So you got another one Jason?" she asked.

"Yep," Jason said turning to face the Defender, "Now let's take down this Heartless." A one winged angel keyblade appeared in his right hand, and the spellbinder appeared in hsi left hand.

"Lets." The woman said pulling out a pair of elegently crafted guns.
Jason and the woman moved into defensive stances. Jason in the front, the woman in the rear. One minute passed, nothing happened.
Jason lunged forwards at the Heartless slashing with his keyblades, the Defender leapt back and thrust its sheild at Jason. Jason twisted out of the way and swooped around the Heartless' bulk. The woman leapt out of the line of fire of the sheild and fired a volley of bulletts.
Jason adjusted his grip on his keyblades and spun in a circle flames surrounding him in a firey ring. The Heartless stumbled forwards and spun around to face Jason and launched a fireball from its sheild. Jason was unable to dodge in time.

"JASON!" The woman shouted.

The fireball slammed into Jason knocking him flat to the ground. He tumbled away several feet his Keyblades shooting away towards the large crates. The woman ran over to Jason where he finally stopped tumbling.

"Jason, are you alright?" the woman asked.

"Yeah." Jason said, "I think..." his robe smoldered in several places as he swatted out the flames. He wrinkled his nose slightly at the smell of burning leather. He stood up and reached out to summon his keyblades back. The weapons rematerialzed in his hands in a flash of light.

"Looks like I'll have to use the Cards." Jason said. By unspoken command the Keyblades vannished to be replaced by a deck of cards. The cards spread out in a ring around Jason and began to spin like a roulette.

"I'll cover you!" the woman shouted and fired on the Defender Heartless.

The cards stopped and the card directly in front of Jason flipped over to reveal an illustartion of a crow.

"The crow. Fear." Jason said, "That is your past." the card floated up and the cards began to spin around agian. When they stopped, the card that revealed itself next depicted A fox.

"The Fox, slyness. That is your present." Jason said. The Cards spun around and when they finally came to a halt the final card was...

"The Death." Jason said dramatically showing the card depicting a Skull, "Your Fate is sealed."

A ring of fire engulfed the Heartless incinirating it.

"Wow Jason, you're quite the fortune teller." the woman said.

"Oh come on Xanna..."Jason said, "You know I don't always read the Cards right...that's why I never set up shop."

"I'm sure you would find a nice girl that way." Anne said in a teasing voice.

Jason flushed bright red, "X-xanna!" he bleated.

"Just kidding Jason!" Xanna said poking Jason on the forehead.

Jason brushed away Xanna's hand, "L-let's head back to base." he said, "That guy's Nobody probably has been located by now."

"Alright, alright." Xanna said as a cloud of roiling darkness began to engulf them both.

*The World that Never Was*

Both Jason and Xanna rematerialzed before a large castle set in the backdrop of a large city. The castle loomed over the pair a good several hundred feet. In the night sky, was the remains of Kingdom Hearts. It resembled the Moon, except it was in the shape of a heart.

"So, what did you think of Tokyo?" Xanna asked as they waited for the bridge to come down.

"Not too different from here." Jason said, "I could've wandered around and nobody would've even blinked at my outfit. Speaking of which...I need to get my jacket repaired or just get a new one..." He wrinkled his nose at the burn marks, the black leather still smelled slightly.

The bridge extended to Jason and Xanna and they began to cross. Another figure clad in the same fashion they were ran out to greet them. Male, spiky green hair, an 'x' shaped scar off center on his brow and appeared to be in his mid twenties.

"Hey! Xanna, Jason!" he called out waving energetically, "How'd you two do?"

"Well enough Rexoni." Jason said.

Rexoni clapped his hands and said, "Wow we sure were lucky you found that Dark Keyblade in Hallow Bastion. We might even get a new member or two with you around."

"Yes, the more who join the Organization, the better chance we have agianst the Heartless." Xanna said, "Have any new Nobodies been brought to the castle?"

"Yeah." Rexoni said, "Just a bunch of Dusks and few high level ones-no number XIV yet."

Jason was the most recent member to join Neo-Organization XIII. He was Number XIII. "Lucky XIII" as he was called by Rexoni.

"Anyways, we have to meet. Number I's got some urgent news or something." Rexoni said beckoning Xanna and Jason to follow him.

The three proceeded down a hallway towards a large set of doors leading into a large round chamber. Inside thirteen thrones circled around the trio. The ivory thrones were all at varying heights depending on each member's rank. Jason, being the thirteenth, his seat was one of the lower ones. Xanna, number IV was one of the more senior members of the Organization. Rexion, number XII was still new as well and a good friend of Jason's.

They walked over to their respective seats, when they sat down the seats rose up to join the others.

The leader, Xeromus sat in the tallest of the thrones his face was hidden in the folds of his hood, but his voice was heard clearly.

“Today, our scouts have made a most interesting discovery.” Xeromus said, “On the planet Aselia, there has been an influx of Heartless. Of the people attacked, one of them survived. It seems, he managed to get his heart back.”

A murmur ran through the other members of the Organization. Nothing like this had ever happened before. There had been a few Nobodies created in an unusual manner, Namine and Xanna for example. No one was sure how Namine was created and Xanna’s origins were a complete mystery. She said she had all her memories of her original self but she kept them to herself.

When it came to memories that was where Jason stood apart from the others. He had no memory of his original self. Only one other known Nobody had been like Jason, Roxas a member of the old Organization XIII. He had been number XIII as well.

“Are you…sure?” A pink haired girl asked, “Someone got their heart back?”

“Apparently so.” Xeromus said, “The victim did not turn into a Heartless so, that was the conclusion Axion and I came to.”
Axion, number II leaned forwards. He was the lead researcher of the Organization and looked as if he had too many coffee soaked late nights. His silver hair fell over his amber eyes covering a vampirish face.

“After observation,” Axion said, “We have come to agreement that ‘Lloyd Irving’ is fit to become one of us.”

“I think the time has come for our Jason to show us his true strength.” Xeromus said, “Jason, since you are currently the only member of the New Thirteenth Order who can use the Dark Keyblade, you will go to Aselia and make Lloyd Irving one of us-and be sure to bring us his Heartless as well.”

Jason nodded, “Understood.” Jason had already gone on several missions like this, but none of them produced a potential Number XIV.

“Once again,” Xeromus said, “I will grant you the authority to command a small unit of Dusks for scouting purposes. You may choose any one of us to accompany you if you wish.”

Jason glanced around, “umm…Rexoni…” he trailed off as he tried to decide.

“Oh! What about me!?” the pink haired girl squealed.

“Uh…no Xena…” Jason said, “You’d just get Rexoni and I killed or something…”.

“Meanie!” Xena whined sticking her tongue out at him. Jason responded in the same manner.

“Ok.” Jason said, “Rexoni and Xanna.”

“Very well.” Xeromus said, “You will leave in two hours.”
Jason’s, Anne’s, and Rexoni’s thrones descended to the floor. The three stood up and departed from the chamber.

“Hoowee..” Rexoni whistled, “I dunno ‘bout you two but this Lloyd guy must be one tough kid. I’ve never heard of anyone getting their heart back after running into a Heartless.”

Normally when someone was attacked by a Heartless, their heart would be lost and they would become a Heartless. If someone with a strong heart became a Heartless, a Nobody would also be created. Dusks were what was left of people with the minimum strength of heart. But the members of the Organization still retained Human form. The only thing that separated them from Humans was that Nobodies had no Heart. However they were able to put up the façade of having one simply because they could remember what it was like to have one.
Because of the fact that Nobodies had no Hearts, this meant that technically, they were not able to have any emotions. The truth was that Nobodies indirectly experienced anger, happiness, sadness, and other emotions simply by recalling them.

“Xanna?” Jason said noticing the expression on her face, “Are you ok? You looked kinda nervous since Lloyd’s name was mentioned.”

Xanna started then put on a smile, “It’s nothing. I just got him mixed up with another ‘Lloyd’ my original self knew.”
Jason and Rexoni looked at each other slightly skeptically. They continued down the hall in silence. They only stopped for Rexoni to pick up his weapon. Rexoni wielded a pair of fans that could conjure up a fearsome gale.

“Alright,” Rexoni said, “Who’ll open up the portal to Aselia? Not Jason, we all know how terrible his re-entries are.”

“They’re not that bad Rex!” Jason protested, “At least my aim’s getting better.”

“Yeah, but you still tend to rematerialize TEN FEET IN THE AIR.” Rexoni said, “I still remember that time you landed us in that rose bush in that castle courtyard. Man was that Prince guy royally pissed off.”

“And you let him beat me up!” Jason snapped.

“Well, he was going to use those roses for a bouquet he was going to give to his bride.” Xanna pointed out.

“No the reason he lost it was because he noticed we were Organization XIII members.” Jason said, “Apparantly one of the old ones tried to kidnap his girl…err…Belle I think her name was.”

“Whatever…” Rexoni said, “That rosebush still hurt.”

“YOU CAN’T FEEL PAIN!” Jason bleated, “WE DON’T EVEN REALLY EXIST FOR CRYING OUT LOUD!”

Rexoni shook his head and turned around, “I’ll open a portal.” He said. A cloud of roiling darkness appeared before them and they entered as if they were merely entering another room. They entered an eerie colored subspace with strange symbols and clouds floating around.

The trio kept moving as they felt their way through the subspace to their destination.

Rexoni suddenly frowned, “Oops…” he said, “I think we made a wrong turn…” A flash of light flared up before them and engulfed them.

“AGGGHHHH!!!” Jason screamed as he felt himself fall. The fall lasted only an instant then…CRASH!

“Owwwww…..” Jason moaned.

“Ouch….” Rexoni whimpered.

“And you gave Jason a ribbing…” Xanna snorted, “Where did you send us?”

Jason, Rexoni, and Xanna stood up. They stood in a metallic city that seemed to be in outer space. The city was completely deserted, yet it seemed as if this place should’ve been inhabited.

“What kind of world is this?” Jason asked, “It’s a complete ghost town here.”

“You don’t think…” Rexoni said, “This is a dead world do you?”

“I don’t know…” Xanna said.

A flicker of movement stirred in the shadows nearby and several Heartless surged out.

“Heartless!” Jason cried out summoning his Keyblades. Rexoni pulled out his fans and Xanna pulled out her guns. The three were quickly surrounded by the Heartless they stood back to back in a small triangle.

“Just another boring day fighting Heartless.” Jason said, “Let’s get ‘em.”
At his words they sprang forwards at the Heartless. Jason swung his Keyblades as he ran through the thicket of Darkness. The Heartless burst into nothingness as they fell to Jason, Rexoni, and Xanna. Within minutes, the Heartless were driven away as they scattered throughout the city.

“Well…” Jason said, “Where ever we are, there definitely is an influx of Heartless.”

Rexoni pulled out a small handheld computer he looked at the screen frowning, then mouth the words: “Oh crap…”

“what’s wrong?” Xanna asked.

“There’s…there’s an outright invasion of Heartless here…” Rexoni said, “And what’s worse, I think someone’s stuck here.”

“How much time do we have before the Heartless steal this world’s core?” Xanna asked.

Rexoni tapped the screen a few times, “Ten minutes, probably less.” He said, “Let’s get out of here!” and broke into a mad run as several Behemoth Heartless came thundering towards them. Jason and Xanna followed suit a few seconds later.

From somewhere ahead of them, they could hear pounding footsteps and heavy breathing as someone was approaching them at a fast clip.
Rexoni rounded a corner making a sharp left turn and…then there was the sound of two people colliding with each other, a grunt and Rexoni crying out.

“OOWWW!!!” Rexoni shouted, “Hey watch it red!”

“You’re one to talk…” a man’s voice said.

Xanna suddenly stiffened and backed away, “Oh god…I can’t let him see me…” she said more to herself than Jason.

“Who?” Jason asked turning to face her.

“I…” Xanna started, “I’ll go another way.” She started to run back the way they came.

“Xanna! Wait!” Jason shouted and caught up with her and grabbed her arm, “You can’t go back that way! That’s a death trap!”

Xanna wrenched her arm out of Jason’s hand, “I’ll be fine Jason, I really can’t let that man see me.”

“Why?” Jason asked, “And…when you heard that guy Rexoni plowed over, you seemed to recognize his voice…did you…know him?”

Xanna blanched and turned to run again, only to find her path was blocked by Heartless.

“What’s going on over there?”

Xanna froze and pulled her hood over her head as fast as she could hand held it down as if afraid a sudden gust would blow her hood off. Jason turned to face the speaker. He appeared to be in his late twenties, had dark red hair that partially obscured his face, and an all navy outfit.

“Uh…” Jason said, “Can we talk later? Now’s not a good time!” he pointed at the Heartless that were coming ever closer. He turned back to Xanna.

“Come on!” he said through his teeth and seized Xanna’s arm and with all the strength he could muster dragged her along behind them as they fled from the Heartless. Xanna stumbled along after Jason still trying to keep her face hidden.

“I second that!” Rexoni said, “If we stay here, we’re all screwed!”

“Can’t you open a portal already!?” Jason shouted.

“This isn’t a good area!” Rexoni said, “We have to get to an open
space!”

“Follow me.” The man said, “I’ll take you to the teleportation Hub and send you back to Aselia.”

Well that’s where we’re headed anyway… Jason thought, “Alright! Lead the way!”
The man took off in an inhumanly fast sprint. Jason, Rexoni, and Xanna had no problem keeping pace.

“You really saved our asses mister.” Rexoni said, “Who are you anyway?”

“Kratos Aurion.” The man said.

Xanna wrenched her arm out of Jason’s grasp and bolted away sending Jason falling to the floor. Now, Jason was sure of it, somehow Xanna seemed to know this Kratos person.

“Xanna!” Jason shouted as several explosions burst around them and bolted after her. Rexoni and Kratos skidded to a halt as Jason and Xanna changed direction.

“Don’t go that way!” Rexoni shouted, “THERE’S A FRICKEN HUGE HEARTLESS HEADED RIGHT FOR YOU GUYS!!!”

Jason swore explosively and came to a halt as a giant Heartless came into view. It resembled a giant with dreadlocks and a giant heart shaped void in its chest. Xanna skidded to a halt with a small cry of alarm. Jason summoned his Keyblades and lunged at the Giant Heartless.

“SONIC STRIKE!” Jason shouted swinging his Keyblades down at the Heartless’ face. The Heartless stumbled backwards then swatted Jason away as if he was nothing more than a fly. Jason sailed through the air having no control over his fall. Suddenly someone grabbed his arm halting his tumble through space.

Jason looked up and saw that Kratos, with azure wings spreading out from his shoulder baldes had caught his arm.

“Thanks!” Jason shouted up to him. Below Rexoni and Xanna were launching attacks at the giant Heartless’ face. Kratos flew forwards with Jason in tow and sword in hand. When they were directly above the Heartless Jason cried out.

“DROP ME!” Kratos at first looked surprised then released Jason. Jason dove down towards the Heartless and slashed at its face again. At the same time, Rexoni leapt up and kicked at its face ferociously. Again, they were swatted aside like flies. They landed a hundred feet away. As soon as they touched down, they bolted towards the combatants.
Xanna fired several bullets at the Heartless, however, she seemed afraid of something, whatever it was Jason could not grasp. One of the bullets pierced the Heartless’ eye. The monster screamed in agony and flailed around so violently Kratos was nearly knocked out of the air!
The Heartless then stumbled and fell, and Xanna was right at ground zero.

We won’t make it in time! Jason thought in horror.
Xanna froze as she saw the giant Heartless fall towards her. Jason and Rexoni put on a new burst of speed, But they still would not make it.
At the very last second, Kratos swooped towards Xanna knocking her out of harm’s way. The two tumbled away several feet as the giant Heartless crashed to the floor, right where Kratos and Xanna had been just moments earlier.

Jason and Rexoni both released a blast of magic to finish the Heartless off. Without breaking stride they ran over to where Kratos and Xanna both stopped rolling. Kratos was on top, he lifted himself up so he was on his hands and knees.

“HEY! Are you two ok?” Rexoni shouted as he and Jason approached.
Kratos gave his head a shake then when he regained focus, froze when he beheld Xanna’s face.

“A-Anna?” he gasped incredulously.
