Open up my eyes; I wake
Getting ready, first step I take
Stiffened joints and heavy eyes
Sitting up; dogs' cries
Getting ready for my day
Stumble every which way
Franctically, I'm down the stairs
Not that anyone really cares
Glance at the clock, almost time
Open door, outside a chime.
On the bus; into school
In that world teachers rule
It seems to be a big buzz kill
While all time seems to still
Final bell, weekend's here
Rushing out I go back there
Where time runs fast and things are fun
Basketball and out to run
Time goes fast and bikes to flare
No hands! Not a scare
Back at home with games galore
Time still flies with not a chore
Dark out now, it's time to play
Outside we go to end our day
Ball in net and frisbee throw
Getting tired, time to go
Off to bed to sleep away
Awaiting tomorrow; a brand new day.
