Skeletal beams of sunlight streaked across the lands, awakening the creatures in and around the valley of Nevaria. As night fled from its ‘brother’ the once darkened domain grew bright, revealing a small hut that lay diagonal from the valley’s deepest forest. The light, in a whole, was considered an important resource for a number of reasons. For one, sunlight was the father of most creatures, for without the sun there would be no plants thus taking out every species known to man. Simple science. However, there was a darker part to having the sun in existence, but only to those who lived to steal the night themselves.
Vampires. Nightwalkers. Bats. Bloodsuckers.
The names given were endless, but it need not matter for the vampires whom simply dismissed the “troublesome light” as no more than an insignificant barrier between the hunter and prey. Soon enough the shield always went down and the prey would be left with little to no protection. It was just as simple as that. And yet trouble brewed between the dominant vampire clans in the valley of Nevaria.
Death, betrayal and a history of promiscuity lead to the rivalry between the Aleron and the Agrican. True to their French namesakes, both the Aleron – 'winged' – and Agrican – 'from the field' – obtained attributes suitable to their surroundings. While both clans have similarities, depicting between an Aleron and Agrican has been noted to be a brainless task. Men and women from Aleron are far more alike in appearance; Lighter colored hair and caramel skin dot ninety percent or more of the clansmen, while the Agrican men and women vary in a stereotypical manner – Males looking far more masculine and large compared to the petite, pale skinned women. Raven and chocolate tresses contrasting the albino-like skin tone reflect the Agrican society and its unique beauty.
Enter Nadine Renee of the Agrican clan. It was remarkable that the 'innocent' nineteen-year-old female had managed to stay alive for so long, but then again she supposed it was just another ‘perk’ of being Father’s little princess. Literally. Heir to the clan’s leadership Nadine Renee – 'Rebirth of Hope' – took pride in the fact that she would one day rule over a good portion of Nevaria. If she were a human Nadine could have easily been seen as a natural beauty with her long, dark hair sprinkled with auburn and eyes that screamed for blood. But no matter. On one side, Nadine couldn't imagine herself flaunting in front of the humans the way she did during their Agrican balls; it simply wouldn't be as much fun to tease a regular man with average hormones than to try and tempt a gorgeous vampire into her bed. Besides, the humans in her beloved country cared not for her existence and even if they did they were far more concerned with being frightened of her than spending their lonely nights imagining the young woman naked beside them. They weren't a serious problem.
"Damn! Why must we continue to go to these ridiculous meetings with the Aleron? They simply don’t listen and personally I couldn’t give a s**t what they have to say and critique about us either…" muttered the stubborn young woman to herself as she made her way briskly down the long corridors. Today wasn’t much different than any other day, but Nadine didn’t want to deal with the stupidity of another clan. Her biggest rivals no less! Call it a treaty of momentary peace, but Nadine could see through many of the Aleron; none, for that matter, looked well.
[[PM away. Gender doesn't matter, but there DOES have to be a storyline. This is a long-term roleplay so I will not tolerate cyber bullshit. :3]]
