Well, I've put my book temporarily on hold while I work at achieving that writing bug again.

In the meantime, let's talk about something different here.

I've been a Magic: the Gathering player for 9 years now. About a week into playing, I came across the first creature card that made me go 'Wow' as a new player: Archangel.

It's not the card itself, or the ability. It's the artwork from the 6th Edition. A day later I bought a pack and got a hold of Reya Dawnbringer. The Angels in MtG have really awesome art, so I started to collect them. Buy them in singles, trade for them, barter for them as I stumbled across them in shops or in trading binders.

Slowly, I've been gathering copies of as many different angels as I could, and their alternate art versions. Here's what I have so far:

That is 58 Angels out of the 78 in existence with their alternate art counterparts, not counting the same artwork used in other sets.

Some of them I have multiple copies of, usually the ones that are good and efficient to play. Quite a few are just singles that are there to complete the collection so far.

Currently I'm working up the money needed to buy stuff like Divine Vs. Demonic to get a bunch of alternate art there, as well as order some of the others I'm missing from online stores.

Most of the missing ones are relatively inexpensive so it's just a matter of placing orders really.

To be honest, one of the few hobbies I have left due to many time constraints is playing M:tG and poking at finishing my Angel collection. I'm rather happy with how far it has come along.
