I thought I'd just give a little update on how everything's going in my life.

First off, I'd like to tell everyone I got into Florida Boy State! I got picked as an alternate to go. Out of eight or so alternates that were still trying to get into the program, I was one of the two that got picked! All though it was disappointing that a great student I knew didn't get chosen, I'm just relieved that I got in after all. I'm going to make the most of it and do my best. I'll earn those scholarships and I will be heading to Boy Nation!

Also, as some of you may remember, I was thinking of joining a foreign exchange program, but it won't be happening for a variety of reasons. The difficulty of getting in at this point was horribly overwhelming, plus I honestly don't think I could miss graduating with all my friends at this point, especially as I realize this upcoming year could be the last time I see them before we all get split up.

God, I dread the upcoming year. My stomach is twisting into knots every time I think of it. I don't think I'll ever be ready for this. It's just so... Well, it's hard to describe...

Well, I'm also getting ready to take my test for Nursing Assistant certification. Once I pass that, I'll be able to get a pretty decent paying job while I'm in college, plus it'll be good experience for my hopeful future career in the health field. Eight more years after High School and I'll get to see if I make it.

And, that's about it for now, I guess. Well, cya all later. I have to update this journal more often...
