Just a short update. Instead of being emotional with my words, I’ll just straight up type it and leave it to you to believe it or not.
In the past four days I have completed my finals. So far, one A and one B have been recorded. Of course Beverage gave me the B. I’m expecting the other two grades to be A’s, and hopefully my expectations won’t set me up for disaster this time.
Friday night I spent over Mike’s house, where we had a spaghetti dinner, and by “we” I mean Daniel, Mike, Meg and I. We played Life: Twists and Turns (awesomely incredible game that we have to make into a comic some day…) until almost 4 in the morning.
Saturday I worked on my dress and finished the lace-up in the back. You can check it out through one of the very many links I put up on more than one of my social sites, because I have a tendency to bend over backwards to accommodate all of my friends instead of forcing them to accommodate me (since most people are too lazy/too busy/don’t care that much). That bothers me, BTW, but w/e, they don’t care. I was up until 5 Sunday morning watching movies and sewing.
Sunday I headed over to Candy’s around 9 or 10 so we could go on an ADVENTURE (Krys will understand… if she ever reads it). We hung out for a bit, went out to the bus stop in the rain and must have missed it by a matter of moments, because the beast ran early and we didn’t see it at all even when we were walking there. So we waited for most of an hour for the next one and spend a good 50 or more minutes after that heading down Himes and Dale Mabry to get to MICHAEL’S! And REJOICE! THERE I FINALLY FOUND THOSE BLASTED METAL WING CHARMS! And lots of lovely other little steampunk-esque trinkets. We had Taco Bell before jumping on the bus, and it was AMAZING. We stopped at Hancock Fabrics on the way back and both applied. We were also told that the applications would be looked at the next day (aka, today). We got back around 5 or 6, and I left around 7:30 because I was getting tired and didn’t want to miss the last bus. I ended up walking, though, because it was a nice day.
Today I slept in until my little heart desired to wake up, and I called the courts once more. I got on the line with a very kind and helpful young lady after five minutes or more on hold, and she advised me that writing a letter to the judge might get the capias removed and a new court date scheduled if I explained the situation. I did that, literally opening a new word document as I hung up. I even printed on the envelope. I finished the letter and brought it out to the mail box right as the mail man was putting mail into the mailboxes. So there’s a good chance it got processed today.
After that I started futzing around on the internet. I set up a deviantart account for the Ugly Muffin so we don’t have to worry about photobucket’s lame load time and bandwidth limits for the images any more, and can expand our reach to a bigger audience. Hell, I got a watch and more than one fave while I was just setting the account up with the already exiting items. I also futzed around on Gaia, and really want to work on my dress, but I’m also hungry and have only eaten the spaghetti and meatballs that AJ bought me when he dropped by Thursday night.
Oh, it’s also Jeanine’s birthday. Heather called to remind me, and also told me that Amanda and her roommate had some sort of falling-out, so I’ve got no way to contact her any more. I called Jeanine, but she didn’t answer. I left a message instead.
David is signing up for the air force. He went to a recruitment office already, but has to go back to finish up paperwork. He’ll be in boot for 90 days, and may or may not have to do additional time. So he’s not going to Metrocon. He’s determined to have a place for us before August, though, so that’s some sort of consolation.
Niza didn’t come home yesterday or today, either. So I’m completely alone in a 2/2. It’s getting to me a lot more than I thought it would. It’s not like I can call Daniel, either, because he’s at home with his mom right now.
Anywho, that was supposed to be short. It’s less than 1000 words, so I guess it is.
