House of Night two Betrayed Summary:
Ok so it starts out how you think it shoul. Awesome, Zoey's step father and mother get told by whom Zoey would rather have as her mother(At the first of this book) the High Prestess Nefret. She basically tells them that she would not go in thier church and tell them they were wrong so they could keep their beliefs to them selves or leave and never return to see Zoey. Guess which they Cjose. THe second option. Though her grandma was welcome anytime to return and see Zoey at midnight durring parent er grandparent visitation.
So Zoey gets through that nightmare rather quickly and steps into a world of horor. So she is trying to take to her new role as the leader of the most prestegious club on campus the Dark Daughters. Wehn of corse a hot guy walks up. Thopugh this guy is totaly off limist he is a partime teacher and looked to be in his twenties. She had been trying to figure out the new direftion she was going to take the corrupted club to clean it up. Well she had to deal with anew problem. She majorly had a crush on this man, and she had a boyfriend already. So she shrugs it off till later that evening when she sees him again and all of asudden bigo boy friend number two.
So she tells her best friend(Sniffle I might cry before I get to the sad part.) Stevie Rea who totally goes beserko on her and says be the good girl and say no to temptation even if he is a hunk.
So Zoey nodds, then latter that evening once again she sees the she devil herself. Aphrodite(the name says it all. Skank.) sitting have a horindous vision having to do with Zoey's grandma's deatha nd an entire bridge full of people. Well since the high pristess has told everyone that her visions were fake they had to act like a fake teoprist group and fake to plant a bomd to get the bridge closed and her grandma had to stay hime and skip getting Zoey's bday gift that day. Oh and Zoey's ex-boyfriend totaly made her day in away that should not have happend.(Dont worry no sex was involved. It is a vampire book so guess. Yup bloodlust.) He cut his neck and let her drink his blood. (Which both disgust her and makes her rather happy.) Horor number three she imprinted him. Babang boyfriend number three. So she is trying to work all of this out before her acctual bf shows up from his poetry monlogue cmpetiotin that he places first in. So she fails miserably while also jugling that two of her ex-yet-not-ex-boyfriends best buds have either died or been kidnapped. So now her actual bf is home and she istrying to just get through her first cerimony and go to bed. Well Stevie Rea is starting to rject the curse when she is at the cerimony and starts to DIE. (That is the sad part from erlier. That I talked about.) Well anyway. When fledlings (Which is what you are called before you turn into an actual vamp.) die they are turned into a disgusting half dead half alive non-human thing that only cares about blood and apperantly Nefret being the person they worship. (Go figure she is actually the bad guy.) Well the night Stevie Rea dies Zoey has a dream the Stevie Rea and tow other unded things steal her ex-yet-not-ex-boyfriend. She thinks it was just a horid nightmare till the police show up nad tell her Heath Luck which is the guys name is missing. Well this make Zoey litteraly ill and she pukes.(Ooooooo.) Well then she walks up to the she devils room ask for some mouth wash and gets some stuff to brush her horse. (some of the students have horses they take care ofin equestrian class.) Well so she goes to the stables and her actual bnf walks her there. He starts to talk to her and next thing she knows she is spilling her gutts about how she imprinted Heath. He does not get mad and knows that he probably should go off on her. But he remains calm and totally helps her out by giving her advice she already knew but was too silly to figure out on her own. So she starts thinking about Heath how she loves him and his blood.(Once again oooooo.) well anyway she begins to conect through tthe imprint and finds out were he is. The once again Aphrodite had had one of her visions and once again Zoey believed her. Now she is off to save Heath. He is in and underground tunnel in Tuls somwhere. The only way to get to him is through the abandond Depot at the edge of the desreted part of Tulsa. So she uses her special powers for the five elements.(Air,fire,water,earth((Sniffle Stevie Rea represented that one.))and spirit) to protect her. When she gets there she goes nad she sucessfully find Heath along with a gob of the undead things. Then to her dismay(yes here it comes.) Stevie Rea steps fprward. (wow she oges from power behind the throne to the power of the throne in death. Who knew.) She basically tells Zoey that her human side is dead and she no longer feels anything ofr her friends.(Lyer. She is different from the rest.) So she tells her little hord of undeadies to kill both of them oh so cold heartedly.(she probably knew Zoey would fight and save herself and Heath.) Sp Zoey fights and they get out. Then Stevie Rea's elemnet Earth is used to cloapse part of the Tunnel to by them some time. Then another blodlust scene and whats this Stevie Rea is being suicidal all of a sudden. Once again Zoey knows what to do and clams her and makes a promise to save her. Then Nefret starts to come to kill Zoey and Heath.(Gasp) Byut luckily earlier the Dectective guy(whom I forgot to mention) SHows up and save them from Nefret(without knowing it.) Nefret erases their memories(Stupid High Prestess stop getting mad at Zoey.) and she cant remeber much then she washes the evil cloud that is hurting her out with her powers and tells all that she can(within the normal realms of sam=nity for a human to understan) the detective what the person who had been abduting and killing the boys. (Sigh no Heath does not die.)
So they get home to the Hosue of Night and Nefret(being totaly fake) gives Zoey a hug and tells her basically if she tried to turn anyone against her that she would make the rest of Zoey's stay at the house of Night aliving heck. She then in turn tells her that she knows the Nyx (the person vampire sworship.) knows the truth and wont let anything like that happen to her. She then like she had promised her best friend take the candel she uses for casting a circle for rituals and lights it in the snowy yard(It had been snowing for about threedays) and places it at the ginormpus statue of Nyx. Then she quietly says to herself and Nyx a promise. "I will save you Stevie Rea." Then the books ends and I cant wait to read the next one.(was I desriptive enough?)
