Decimating the fine line between genius and insanity...
Reasons I shouldn't learn new things:
We had a presentation in class today for philosophy, and I remembered how much interest I once took in theoretical physics. It's actually a pretty fascinating field. If they had offered theoretical physics in high school, I might have gained an interest in it. For all I know, I might have even learned to like math out of sheer interest in the field. Either way, wicked class.

I also learned today that pretty much everything I learned in high school, well in school in general, was pretty useless in the scheme of things. It seems that almost every class I've had thus far has concentrated on removing everything I was previously taught and attempting to get me to think on my own again. It's somewhat like taking me off the life-support that high school put me on. A slow and painful process of realizing that if I'd just challenged the ideas I was given more back then, I would be better at what I'm doing right now.

I've also learned this week that the CBC Radio here doesn't suck. I've been griping for weeks that all the music on the radio is repetitive and boring. I've not succeeded in making music less boring with my CDs either. I wind up playing the same CDs over and over. So I flipped to the CBC Radio. I'm really enjoying radio shows that only last an hour or so and then flip to a new genre. I finally feel a little diversified.

I guess I really should learn new things. They just wind up destroying everything else I've ever known. Which destroys, in turn, my lovely little protective bubble. I suppose transition states are always a little dangerous. I feel kind of exposed, and I blame University, LoL. *Shakes fist* They charge me to put me through a grinder and sift out all that bullshit that was socialized into my being. Guess the good thing in that is, now when I bullshit through papers, at least some of it is real information as opposed to regurgitation of what I've heard.

Oh, and if anyone reading this is into theoretical physics, I'd really love to chat. Give me a crash course in it, so I can one day hold my own in a conversation, LoL.
