Mine

Finally free of my past; there's no more need to run.
My step are a little lighter now and I can finally have fun.
Although my ugly past has caught up to me,
I feel enlightened, perfect, free.

I am sorry and ashamed of all the things I did,
But I can never take back or get rid...
I can work on my future, though, and that will do just fine;
For my future can't be made by another...
My future is just mine.

The Worst

Tears fell forever; they never seemed to end.
All my heart did was fall; descend.
Jumping into a firey eternity is what seemed true.
Pain, sorrow and hurt is all that I knew.
Then one day, I woke up to something quite strange.
My world wasn't sad, there seemed to be an immense change.
I see light now, I embrace happiness.
I feel joy, I am not longer a mess.
I picked myself up, I moved on.
My life means the world to me now that the worst is gone.

Forever

We'll always have forever to always wonder why.

We'll always have forever to always want to cry.

Looking at your grave and your epitaph.

Feeling your forever imprinted autograph.

Wondering what happened and how this could be.

Looking in on myself, maybe it was me.

Sighing on the inside while I deeply cry.

Screaming at myself, for I watched an angel die.

There's just one thing left that I want to say to you,

And that is: why did you do this and not think it through?

I'll always have forever to nurture my broken heart.

I'll always have forever to feel completely torn apart.

a star to guide you

Tears of Reflection

A never ending stream of words
I feel like I'm a voice unheard
I try to speak my heart to you
But what good does it ever do
Why do we try and talk it out
This hurt we could have done without

Why do they clash, your soul and mine

The voices raise, the tears fall
We just can't make sense of it all
Why can't I speak straight from my heart
It seems to tear us both apart
I just believe in honesty

My fears, my wants, my hopes, my dreams

Why did I want the silence broken
I wish now that I'd never spoken
And what good does it ever do
