Danger
Is it deadly to love completely
Despite the minds objection?
To center one’s deepest thoughts
On one point of affection?
To give unheeded to desire
With no thought to the ultimate plan
Against the things that crave the dark
We will take our noble stand.
How dangerous it must be
To rely purely on the soul.
No regrets or second thoughts.
Such a blessing to live so bold.
And so we walk
On this path less taken
Waiting for the day
When our souls will awaken.
