He fought hard
His side won
But something was wrong
Something had been done
He hurried home
As fast as he could
To find his in-law
Not where she should
He hurried through the house
Calling her name
But she wouldn't answer
It wasn't the same
And then he found her
Lying there pale
And he stared in her eyes
Now white as hail
He gave her his picture
And shared their last kiss
Wishing for death
And her eternal bliss
"Together forever."
He promised that night
As he closed his eyes dying
Losing his fight
