Well, wouldn't you know it, I finially joined the rest of the modern world and left the dinosaurs behind. That's right-I got high-speed internet!! As I speak, I am using SAFARI, not AOL, may it burn in the firey pits of hell, to type this. I am also gambling at the casino and downloading Castle Wolfenstien-Enemy Territory(a 258MB file! On dial up, I wouldn't even have dreamed of doing something so crazy. It's been going for fifteen minutes, and it's at 155 MB!!!! Kick some A! At 151 KB a second! Of course, I'm on wireless, so it's slower than direct connect, but I can live. Who gives!
Now my father bursts my bubble. HE STILL WANTS TO USE AOL. WHY?????????? I've spent a total of 3 hours on the phone with Tech support with both Comcast and AOL, and neither of them have any solution for the continual errors we get. Now AOL wants us to re-install, but WE CAN'T BECAUSE THE SITE THEY TOLD US TO GO TO DOESN'T HAVE IT. THOSE [********. I WANT TO KILL THE INVENTOR OF AOL, THE CRAPPIEST BROWSER EVER
Also, I deserve the smooth award-I just accidentaly canceled the Castle Wolfenstien download. O well, I'll just start over.
Well, other updates time.
It's summer now. Yes, the school year is over, and I have copious amounts of free time. My brain has already kicked into summer mode, meaning its a struggle to remember what day of the week it is. It's monday. This summer, I'm going for my brain turning into tofu, instead of the usual cottage cheese. Yep, vegan brains.
Yesterday I saw "Mr. and Mrs. Smith," a humourous romp where a couple reconciles their problems by blowing people brains out. Don't get me wrong, I loved this movie. However, some scenes didn't make sense. Like, if they're both international pro assassins, why didn't they realize the other was? Why didn't his wife notice the HUGE POLISHED METAL trapdoor in their toolshed, or the fact that he never came out with tools? Why didn't they realize the other brought in much more money than their "job" permitted for? Didn't John notice that when he tried to pull open the droor under the oven that there was a case full of guns and knives in the way?
Anyway, I also re-watched most of "Star Wars Episode III-Revenge of the Sith," which, while being vastly superior to the previous 2 episodes, still paled in comparison to the original Star Wars movies. Still, I vastly enjoyed it. However, comparison to the original Star Wars would be unfair-Star wars episode III isn't SUPPOSED to make you feel good, or like the main character, or whatever. It's a sad, dark film showing Anakin's tragic transformation to the dark side. Obi-wan becomes more cool throughout the length of the movie as well. Obi was never much of a hero, more of a mentor, but in Sith he becomes very cool, in addition to cutting off 3 of Anakins limbs. He kicked some major a**.
So did Yoda, for that matter. In Ep. 2, his action sequence was laughed at for being comical. However in "Sith", Yoda's fight scene with the Emporer was majorly awesome. Yoda had some funny/cool lines, too. One funny scene was when he walked into the Emperor's room and banged both guards against the wall with a guesture. Boo-ya, Emperor.
In other other news, I just wrote like 5 pages on this thing, and I still haven't said anything about what's actually happening. Now, to business.
On Friday we all went over to Nate's to celebrate the end of finals, and school. Oh yeah. cool Almost 24 hours of movies, snacks, Gaia gambling, peanuts, and most importantly, Halo! We got 2 X-box's hooked together, and got some mad Halo 2 going. We did some crazy team matches, including teams from a hat, on Nate's GINORMOUS tv, and his other, medium sized one. Hands down, the best team was the 3 guys on the big-screen-Kai, Timmy, and me. We would get in a Guass gun warthog, with me driving(don't let me on the roads, but you can trust me to dodge your rockets!) Timmy passenger, and Kai gunning. Kai has some m4d l337 gunner skillzors. He is a friggin killing MACHINE on that thing. He freakin' SNIPES with it, on a MOVING WARTHOG. IN COAGULATION. NOT EXACTLY THE FLATTEST MAP. Yeah, Everybody always says Kai is cheap, which he is sometimes, but mainly? He's just really good. Certain people are kinda whiny about that. *coughchrisdylancough*
In other other other news, Castle Wolfenstien is almost done, and I'm installing AOL from a disk. OLD aol.
