I've finally pinned down my own journal, and after slaving for hours (well, minutes actually...but we'll call them hours!) it's established!
Guess I'll just have to wait and see if the color scheme works out, but until then...
John Kerry paid a visit to my college yesterday, which was about as life-altering as watching a maimed goat eat a Jelly doughnut, only not quite as entertaining. It did give me a chance to shake hands with a few banisters, as there was a monstrous crush of people on the stairs that did not let up even after the man of the hour (Ted Danson, who apparently was also present) departed. Which made me wonder: what IF Ted Danson were president of the United States, and the whole rest of the Cheers staff were his cabinet? Hell, I'd take Cliff Claven as first lady of my country any day.
As for today...severely mangled Kerry/ Edwards campaign posters still hung from the tops of buildings and the tall, glamourous trees of our college campus (which seem so supplemented with fertilizer...they are being sprayed 24/7...that I am certain they have at most half the integrity of Hollywood breasts).
So it is that politics has become the one and only subject on our campus...as an undecided voter as of yet (yes, I am a fickle monstrosity who does not deserve to live in this fine nation due to my indeciciveness, thank you for noticing), I have taken a few beatings...verbal, mostly, but some physical (a Kerry/ Edwards campaign poster almost threw itself on my head and I am convinced it would have mauled me, or at least given me a papercut, had I not shaken my fist at it as it fell from the tree and had it not been paper, which never falls straight...but I digress). So all in all it's been another miserable day in the life. And that constitutes my first post.
