Talon shot back up through the water, practically floating through the air before landing on the bank beside the pond. He blinked his eyes once, scanning around. Someone was watching him from the tree. He let his tongue travel across his teeth, feeling his canines enlarge. A natural vampiric reaction when he sensed a fight. He snapped his fingers, seeing a rather large shadow appear on the other side of the park. He felt comforted for the moment, and glanced around again, trying not to draw attention to the fact that he knew someone was in that tree. He had never been good at running away, and enjoyed feeling superior. He pulled on his socks and shoes, along with his shirt before facing the tree directly. "Not exactly a conspicious hunter are you? After the two hit-men last week I thought you all had learned. You must be a faerie, otherwise you would have known why I can see you." He said smugly. "A vampire can see in the dark, and a vampire with a fire element aquires a thermal vision in the dark when needed. Way to go." He said with a smirk. He noticed the shadow across the park was moving towards him, ready to protect. "You are so out of your league." He said, a smirk still plastered across his face.

Maddie bit her lip when she had seen the target leap from the water and look directly at her. She stayed quiet, biding her time. Of course, when he addressed her directly, her heart skipped a beat. She had been noticed.. This would be a set-back. She listened to him act superior, and thought of herself as being careless for not realising that in the first place. Of course he could see her. She jumped down, letting her wings in full sight to save herself some magic. "Out of your league? You wish. Your just the sad little prince with no real father." She said impishly. "Or, at least, not one that cares about you. He releases to the public that he has an heir, and expects him not to be hunted by the faeries? Pathetic." She was hoping that by biding her time and stabbing at his pride, he would attack first, making this a whole lot easier.
