When I woke up this morning, I saw a robin outside the window. I thought, "Yay! Spring is coming!" Then, I saw the robin fly back in a large loop, and run straight into the window, producing a loud smacking sound. Unfazed, the bird made a half-circle over into the other side of the window, banging into it even harder. Unfazed, the bird did it again... and again... and again.

It eventually became so annoying, that I tried to shoo the robin away from the window. Unfortunately, the thing only stayed away when I was there with the window open. Once I was gone, and the window was closed, it flew straight back into the window as hard as it could. With better things to do than watch that all day, I left for my classes. Now I'm back, about eight hours later, and the stupid bird is still beating its face into my window. You'd think the thing would be dead of brain damage by now, but it seems unfazed. I think it forgot whatever it was trying to do long ago, and has now been flying into the window just through force of habit.

I wonder how crazy I'd look firing a shotgun out of a city window at a robin. I bet the police AND P.E.T.A. would love me.
