Cats in Anime and Manga Series

Many of the Japanese and the Korean people revere cats. You can see cats in a lot of Anime and Manga series. Some of the interesting facts that I have learned about cats is that in Japan Black cats are considered to be good luck. Their is also supposed to be an island near Japan that is populated with just cats. Don't know if the island is real but it sounds cool.

So who is your favorite Cat and do you think about cats being revered in Japan?

My favorite Cat is Luna from the Sailor Moon series. I think it's cool that Black cats are considered good luck in Japan. They certainly got a better deal than the Black Cats in the United States did where they were associated with witches hundreds of years ago.
