[ DEUS ]
Ever looked worse than he felt -- well, maybe not that much worse than he felt. Once his arms were empty, once trainees had been safely left to their own devices, he scraped hair out of his face. Grimaced at the blood on his hands, and his cheek, and his pants, soaked through from that sting. He looked bruised and tired as he turned in place, eyes scanning the crowd.
He settled on Zeke and, slowly, shambled his way in that direction to set fingers light against Zeke's shoulder. Not to break their hug, because probably he didn't need one, just a little warning he was there.

[ SAHARA ]
Quote: Huni Pi rolled 1 8-sided dice: 3 Total: 3 (1-8 ) Once Joy was certain the others were patched up, she gave them a quick thumbs up and headed off to see if she could protect anyone else. And it just so happens that she ended up protecting one of the newer moon trainees (who wasn't Clyde).
Roll a 2: Allan, the Sun lead, comes to help you. He makes a huge flashy show of everything but considering there are no centipede legs to hit you with, you're relatively safe. You take some damage because flashy entrance is flashy, but you manage to make it to safety. (SKIP TO STEP 3, -5 DAMAGE).
He had finally managed to get off the massive Titan but what happened next was mighty familiar... Lots of shouting and hunters rushing left and right... THis chaos... was it time to...abort whatever mission that was intended to be again?
Grains of sand flew all around him and into his eyes. Sy inched forward and stared at the portal. It was so close! But...he couldn't get himself to get any closer. The centipedes may spring out and attack of the the sanddunes again. He could take on two at most but any more than that he won't make it.
His eyes didn't want to lose sight of the blue glimmer... Am I going to die in the Sahara? he asked himself. The portal is right there....
At that very moment, a shining bright light hit his eyes and he had to shield himself from the sand and and... the Sun lead? He couldn't believe it. It was as if the experienced Hunter was letting him make a dash to the portal. And he sure as ******** won't want to miss that chance. Without looking back at his saviour, Sy ran with all his might, carrying his weapon in his hands, totally forgetting to desummon her.

[ Sahara--->Portal ]
"We're here, little blue."
Henry could have cried right then and there in relief as Stormy grabbed his hand, leading him along purposefully, and he went, trusting that she knew where she was going, and that she'd get him out of there. There was something about her that spoke to a quiet strength. He saw it in the saw she smiled at him through a mask of blood. All confident and capable, but still that same sweet hunter who'd offered him snacks in the orientation.
He clung to her hand, would have even if she hadn't prompted him to. The very last thing he wanted was to get himself separated again. That had happened enough today.
"Thank you!" He didn't know the other trainee that Gale was hanging onto, didn't recognize him beyond maybe passing him a time or two on the island.

"We can do something about blisters'n s**t," he'd drawl back at her, mimicking her inflection almost perfectly, an actually smiling for a moment. It was teasing, and if definitely didn't reach his eyes, but it was an improvement over the hollow look he was wearing when he'd first walked through the portal. Distractions were key, and Cee was a good distraction.
He did jerk though, as a hand landed softly on his shoulder, head snapping up and around too quickly. Pale eyes, a touch wide, flicked from blood stain to blood stain before jumping back to Ever's face, his expression considering, bordering on concerned, but never quite fell fully into it. He was upright, he wasn't grimacing, wasn't doing much favoring of body parts aside from the leg Zeke was already aware of. Despite the blood, he didn't actually appear to be too seriously injured. Cee asked the obvious question for the both of them.
Zeke's hand coming up to loop a finger through the D ring of Ever's bracelet was thoughtless. He ran his thumb over one of the eyelets, back and forth.
"I can look at the blisters," he aimed at Cee, head cocking in her direction for a moment. "Clean up the worst of them." Then back to Ever. "And your leg." They could go inside, get away from the crowd, and he could make sure they were both alright without the press of bodies around them.
