With no clear indication of where she was supposed to go, Keiko wandered the festival, always making sure that at least one Snagem was visible so that she didn't wind up lost and having to converse with GRAY to get a teleport back to wherever the action might be at the time.

Her eyes, much like the eyes of many other individuals, were eventually drawn to a certain tanned Blaziken hybrid, her hips swerving in the light of several fires. Keiko, while trying not to be obvious, watched her dance, finding herself more and more impressed by the second. Every time I decide not to become a hybrid, she thinks to herself, I have to see something like this.

She was knocked out of her train of thought when the Blaziken woman cawwed. Subby? Who-

Oh, Sub. Apparently, the Snagem leader was rather famous. Or perhaps infamous? There was no way of knowing from where she was, so Keiko followed Sub from a respectable distance to try to find out what was going on between these two.

"Well we got time to kill, I guess, so how about it, Tristen, what do you want to do? It's not all booze, thank god."

"What's going on over there?" Tristen asked walking over to a nearby fight ring. Four Pokemon apparently were having at it, clashing with each other.

"A free-for-all. Battle royal, as it were." I said. "Don't really see those in Jhoto...or...rather any where else that I can think of. Can't imagine how hectic such a thing gets."

"Huh? How so?"

"Well, for starters, you see? Three opponents. But its everyone against everyone. Incidentally, one could get singled out by other Pokemon teaming up, and so on, giving Pokemon better chances to win in the end." I said. "Or it could just turn into a convoluted mess with attacks flying everywhere. I have no doubt incidentally some attacks will involve all Pokemon in the fray like Earthquake, for instance. I would dare say it's strategic, but then...its also chaos...I honestly don't know how to put it into words." I said. "I mean, just...look at it."

Tristen was somewhat getting what I was getting at, because it did seem like a bit pandemonium on the battle field. "Maybe we should try a round or two in there, huh, Blizz?"

"Maybe. Not like having odds stacked against us is uncommon, right?"

"Huh? Did a bird just say my name?" Sub asked pretty loud as he spun around several times looking for the source of his name. Eventually he would spot a certain hybrid, his face going pale as he did. "Crap crap crap..." He mumbled to himself as he walked over to the woman. "Heeey...you..." Why did he seem so nervous about seeing this woman?

The girl chuckled with an almost sinister laugh as she steps over the fallen man with her large muscular thighs. "what has it been, subby, a year or so?". The girl would knock a few more men getting to man dressed in black, "You come all the way here for me? Awww your sweet" she said snuggling a little against his cheek, it seemed to be her version of a kiss.

Wrapping her toned self around the Snagems leaders arm, she let him walk her about. Her smile was gleefull hiding the fact she was whispering to sub, "Thank god someone I know is here. I need a drink, and way out of here. Some desperate kids stole my purse, haven't seen them since, and it had my ticket to get back to Sinnoh". This time with less of a smile and more of a cheer "I'm glad it was you subby!"

"It's nice to see you too, Rabiah." Sub said rather nervously, he was especially nervous when she snuggled up to his cheek. Boy did he hope none of the others saw that. With Rabish clung to his arm Sub would find his way to Crystal, just in time to listen to her Crystal speak, the man giving Lily a little nod as the Espeon hybrid introduced him. Once the festival was explained however and those listening to Crystal dispersed Sub turned to Rabiah and spoke.

"So, stuck here in paradise, huh?" He said with a half hearted chuckled, he could think of worse places to be stranded. "Let's get you that drink, we can talk about your situation here later on." The man smiled as he escorted her away to find a drink, the pair eventually coming up to a tiki themed bar, the male of the duo ordering a Bloody Bulu for the Blaziken hybrid. He figured any drink made with Tamato Berry juice would be right up a Fire type hybrid's alley.

As Sub got the drink he spotted Keiko out of the corner of his eye, the man waving for her to come over.

"Scissors... what?" Whatever Darts was talking about from what little Amaranth could overhear, she had no idea why it involved a pair of scissors unless there was something to cut that she wasn't aware of. "And what do you mean, lighten up? I'm not that tense..." Her remark wouldn't do anything to dissolve how awkward she felt, stepping closer to where Crystal and Lily were, let alone a fair few of the others for the moment. Once she saw the pair walk away, she figured that maybe Darts was on to something. She could at least partake in the goings-on around here instead of being a total wallflower. Whatever that term meant. She remembered someone once calling her that in Kalos, but they never explained why they did.

Now that she thought about it, Sol and Cera didn't seem too keen on explaining it at the time either. Shrugging, she went to one of the arenas. Maybe the Battle Royal was something worth dealing with?

"Poor Blizzard," Keiko gasped when she saw how close Sub and Rabiah had gotten, completely unaware that Rabiah was acting that way to speak to Sub privately. Still, it seemed that Sub had a thing for violent hybrids, considering what little Keiko had seen of Blizz's combat prowess.

Keiko decided to give those two some privacy and walked away, eventually finding herself close to some kind of bar. She almost walked away from that when she saw Sub motioning at her.

"Yeah?" Keiko asked when she came within hearing distance of Sub.

Lykas and his "friends" walked slowly through the festival grounds, the hybrid laughing at some joke the young male had made. "Sure, sure. But what about when he wakes up in the morning? How do you explain it?" He asked, pausing afterwards and suddenly looking frustrated. "What, again?!" He was suddenly sounding much more sober.

"This was not part of the hybrid deal I made...." He grumbled as he threw back another Rawst Daiquiri. "God, I never realized how hard it would be to stay drunk with a body that's more seawater than flesh...."

"Don't worry about it. We can make you feel really good without all the booze." The girl on his arm quipped, running a hand across the hybrid's chest.

"I'm sure you can, sweetheart but if you didn't notice yet, you're just arm candy. Now focus on looking pretty because he's doing better than you right now." Lykas retorted, cocking an eyebrow at the female before he jerked his head toward his male candy.

Said male stuck his tongue out at the girl. "Told you I was the pretty one!" He exclaimed with a laugh. "Just cause we're twins doesn't mean we look the same."

"Bite me!" The girl retorted, pulling her hair away from her face. As if she were preparing for a fight.

"Stick around long enough and I might decide to oblige. For both of you." Lykas responded with a cocky grin before pressing his way between the two and making his way to the food tables. "Nothing vegetarian, is there?" He asked himself as he looked over it all.

The two grunts would stiffen up as they heard the eerily familiar voice behind them, looking over their shoulders at Darts before huddling together to plot out exactly how they might evade the hybrid if they ran for it. It was at this moment they would feel and see a metal ladle aimed much more threateningly towards the pair of them. "Uh...know us?" The tall, thin one would stutter out, glancing between Darts and his partner in crime in confusion. Luckily for him, his friend was a little more on the ball. "Yeah! We're friends! He was the one who told us we could do this." The larger of the two grunts told Aloe, making a gesture of throwing a few prawns to Darts as he had requested before clearing the way for Aloe to charge Darts. Well, they also made sure to put back at least some of the food now. They weren't complete savages. And with their current danger averted, they would look to Allen. "Care to sign up with Team Skull? Thats how you get one of these. Although we might have one to spare if you ask nice.".

Reno would be able to hear about half of Crystal's explanation before he was dragged out of the situation by Darts to the snacks table as he began to talk to seemingly everyone and had food thrown to him. "Darts. We should probably evacuate before we get killed over this one. Plus I think I have an invite to the Battle Royal here." Reno told the Gilt Reaper, showing the strange mask that he had been handed with his drink. It even looked similar to that one that the Masked Royal had been wearing when they had met. But Darts and Reno would likely have more pertinent issues in a moment than a weird mask.
Espeon_Commander

While the two guys were busy stuffing food into various pockets and pant legs, the squat one would suddenly feel something metallic hit his cranium fairly hard. "Hey! My family and I didn't help to make all this food just so you two alone could eat it all!" If they turned around, they would see a young teen wearing a pair of overalls and a flower tied around her head looking pretty pissed at them. "Our food's meant to be enjoyed by all at this festival. You!" the girl would turn to Darts, pointing a ladle at him, "You know these two?" It might be how these two were hogging the food she apparently had made for everyone, but she wasn't completely taken aback by Darts' appearance at the moment. Brave girl.

Darts nods to her, completely oblivious to the fact he was getting thrown under the bus at the moment by the pair of Skull grunts. "Yeah, I know these two." He says, facing down her ladle without a moments hesitation. Regardless of his situation beneath a public mode of transport, he didn't like this lady's tone, his red eyes narrowing slightly in annoyance as she strides up to him. He pops a prawn in his mouth, crunching down on it as his gaze goes from burning a hole in her face to ignoring her completely, the punctuating sound of eating highlighting his disdain for her. "What about it?"

He shrugs at Reno tugging at his arm. "If you got stuff to do Reno by all means don't let me spoil it. I got this."

The girl would go back to looking at the two Skull grunts, glaring at them before turning back to Darts. ā€œSo, if you know them, keep them in line! I know you Skull people have little regard for rules and consideration for people, but this is the festival for Tapu Bulu! For once, stop thinking about yourselves,ā€ the girl demanded, pointing her ladle for emphasis before pointing at Allen. ā€œAnd you! You donā€™t want to join up with them! Theyā€™re cretins that have no respect for anyone else on the islands. Youā€™re better off ignoring them unless theyā€™re bothering you.ā€ The girl would then turn her head to Lykas, pointing at some of the food. ā€œOf course! That half of the table has plenty of option. Enjoy, as long as these bozos donā€™t take it all.ā€ One last look at the two actual Team Skull members would be given before she had to leave, leering at them as she left to presumably return to her family, cheeks puffed out in anger.

The way to the Battle Royal would start to become more and more crowded as they got closer, the crowds cheering and chanting out various names. When the those who went to see the battle got there, they would see one well under way, and the ring would look like itā€™s seen better days. One of the four men in the ring might have looked fairly familiar to those that were in Alola earlier, with the man wearing no shirt and a red, blue, and green mask, accompanied by a black and red humanoid cat, with a belt of flame around its waist and a cocky grin being worn. One one side of him was a man about half the size of him almost pure white, though there was also black, green, and red on the outfit, with another mask that covered his entire face also in white except where his face would have been, where it carried more of the other colors as well, with a small Tyrogue with him. On his other side would be someone also not wearing a shirt, and with a mostly white mask with red flame accents, and what would appear to be a cloth semi mimicry of two feathers attached to the back of his mask, his partner being a Hawlucha. Finally, across from the Snagemā€™s friend would be a heavily muscled guy, almost ridiculously so, wearing a black lowcut singlet with the word ā€˜cageā€™ in red capital letters on the back. For once, this guy would not be wearing a mask, and he his partner was what seemed to be the angriest Primeape out there, ready to attack the others. A bell would ring and the PokĆ©mon immediately charged forward at attack, followed byā€¦ their trainers? It was a massive cluster in the ring, and eventually falling outside of the ring as well, with the trainer in the white and red mask and his Hawlucha taking little time to start in with some high flying antics. Wasnā€™t this supposed to be a Battle Royal, though?

At the stage, there would seem to be an act already up, four people on center stage in what seemed to be a shortened kimono and black leggings, two women and two men, all looking fairly young. Behind them would be a small band playing various traditional Johtoan instruments, while someone whose gender was incredibly indiscernible was singing. While the look of this person leaned more towards male, the voice managed to get into a quite respectable soprano range. While obviously not a native Alolan dance, something more akin to traditional Johto, it was still probably paying respect to Malie Cityā€™s own heritage, judging by the looks of the some of the buildings and the garden.

"Just thought I would introduce you two, since you seemed to be staring." He said, muttering the last part. "Might interest you to know that Rabiah here is a dancer as well, the best there is." He smiled.

Despite the fight in progress, Amaranth wouldn't have time to react to one of her Pokeballs suddenly opening. A faint burst of light cut through the crowd as it went into the air and took form, her Hawlucha poised to jump into the fray and join the battle in progress.

"It is time to make my grand entrance! Behold the boldest of all, Los Bombardeo AĆ©reo!" He shouted, seconds away from crashing the stage with a Flying Press as Amaranth stared in confusion at the idea of her Pokemon speaking proper English. Mostly.

"Huh? Did he eat one of those weird Pokeblocks on my desk- wait, no, don't do it! STOP! Bad Hawlucha!" She shouted as her confusion turned to fearful dread, realizing just what was going on. She'd try to figure out the whole talking thing later.

I stared in confusion as I tried to figure out the whole battle format. I suppose I needed to look at this like just any other mass fight that I tend to have against some organization or something, only...less pressure since its everyone for themselves, I guess. Sometimes I start to wonder if anyone believes in the one on one fight anymore. I then perked up and looked over. Tristen and I couldn't help but to stare in confusion for a second as the Hawlucha came out of nowhere and started to crash the battle in the ring. "......yeaaaah, we're not getting involved...in that...one..." I said, turning away and started to find our way elsewhere. "We might do something after that gets cleared up..." I said.

Tristen and I walked away for something else to get into. While Tristen started to look about in wonder, I on the other hand wasn't...really too anxious to find something to do. Once again I find myself not really wanting to be here for better or for worse. A feeling I am reminded of every time I'm here. At least at this part of the region, I shouldn't be running into any unwelcome faces...hopefully.

The Bird chuckled at subs flattery, she knew he was exaggerating but enjoyed it all the same. Knowing this doof was going to make her blush, she slugged back her drink, the cooking berry tingled her throat. As a smooth grey smoke escaped her smile, "And you as well Keiko! So are you one of subs many of suiters? Or part of his club he runs" Rabiahs voice rang with a playful tone.

She would take another large swig of her Flaming drink forcing her face into a cringe for only a moment. This time she blew a smokey kiss towards the two signalling with rings, "Okay showboating aside. Sub here, knows my buddy Kain, its the only reason I even took him up on his offer that night." Rabiah looked over to keiko "You ever been to snow point in Sinnoh? Man it gets cold there, luckily this gal kept us warm! He had such a hard time cooling down once we where done, HA!"

Lynnette would smile at Aria's suggestion. "I'd really like that actually. God, when was the last time we actually got to perform together?" Lynn would comment, following the other girl happily. Despite being slightly side-tracked by the conversation, Lynnette still had a decent grip on Silver's hand, and so the Houndoom hybrid was dragged along behind the girls, growling quietly to himself. As they came upon the stage though, Lynnette released the hybrid's hand, too distracted by the current performance going on to keep track of Silver any longer. "Such a beautiful performance," she would whisper, sighing contentedly as she continued to stare at the people currently on the stage.

Silver, finding himself freed, decided to head in the direction of the delicious scents that had drifted to his nose. He moved somewhat slowly though, being that he was very unsure of his current surroundings. And even with his being careful, he still found himself bumping into the occasional person, earning him a few glares from people that he couldn't actually see. Growling in frustration, Silver couldn't help but wonder why he thought it was a smart idea to leave the person who was guiding him around behind. Oh, right, because she was being a gushy loser with her girlfriend right now. A few minutes and a whole lot of bumping into people later, Silver finally found his way to the tables of food that were set out for everyone. Now, if only he could actually see what was before him so he could properly serve himself. The hybrid would sigh, deciding it would be easier to wait until he could find someone to help him, though he loathed to make himself look helpless. Another drink - or three - would be finished by the hybrid as he listened for any of the others.
