The look on his face when he looked down at the chosen spot caused laughter to bubble up out of Serendipity, and she knelt down into the soft ground and started working. "I suppose you're right, limiting the variables would be a necessity." She gave him a playful grin. "It's a good thing you thought of that, or you wouldn't have had an excuse to keep from getting down and dirty."
With a wink, she turned to her task: digging a hole, unwrapping the starter plant, and burying the roots. Once she was finished, she brushed most of the dirt from her hands, stood up, and stretched. "There we go. Experiment set."

A small grin came over Serendipity's face as she heard her companion's cough at her comment. She half wished he had said what had come to mind, since apparently it was a dirty enough joke to cause a physical reaction in order to keep silent. Still, he had always been respectful of her, and she liked that about him: they flirted and teased, but it never when into something disrespectful.
Iordanes stepped into her space and she could feel the warmth radiating from him, a warmth that made one want to step into it and be enveloped by it. His hands took hers, and she easily intertwined her fingers in with his. Her own brown eyes met those deep purple pools that any mortal could be lost in, and she felt that always present pull to him. Her smile widened as his forehead touched hers, and she closed her eyes in enjoyment of the moment.
"Of course you may. When have I ever denied you a chance to experiment?" She gently rubbed the tip of her nose against his. "I am yours, Irodanes."
