Aulii slowly nodded his head, it wasn't quite the speed she would need to successfully pull this off in water, but it was her first time. "It'll get easier, its a weird movement to make until you get used to it." Aulii told her honestly. "Once your feet are on the board you slowly raise yourself up until you're standing right. That's the part you'll want to do slowly, to make sure you keep your balance." Aulii smiled at her, leaning his head on his hand lazily, "I know its a lot to take in, and that is why we are not in the water. Maybe we'll jump in just for fun later." he added.

Starry grinned, holding the pose for a few minutes while she made sure she had balance. Okay, it felt like a few minutes, but she had probably stood up a little quicker than she normally would have. Something about having Aulii standing so close to her made Starry feel like she was able to do this kind of stuff.
"It does feel like a lot of information." The demon stretched a bit, looking at him. "You're a good teacher Aulii." Her smile grew a bit, enjoying the feeling of learning something new.
Aulii slowly stood himself up and put his hands on Starry's hips adjusting the angle of her body. "You'll be more stable and have more control if you angle your body like this." He spoke as he moved her. Aulii paused to think as he watched Starry stretch. "Thank you," smiled at the compliment. "I guess we could take a break: walk on the beach or jump in the water and cool off... then we can come back to it and see what you can do." he suggested in response to it being so much that he was teaching her at once.
