Kagu is a very calm and collected individual. It usually takes a lot to throw him off or upset him, allowing him to almost always think with a clear mind. He tends to block others out as soon as he opens one of his sketch pads or whenever he starts drawing. Kagu takes the time to teach himself most of the things he wants to learn feeling that teachers’ spoon feed too much information and that “Spoon feeding in the long run teaches us nothing but the shape of the spoon.” When annoyed he tends to avoid physical altercation and resort to witty remarks and sarcasm. He is confident in his jutsu and knows the extent of his abilities; although he hates bragging. Kagu doesn't mind working hard and when pushed refrains from whining or complaining. His word means everything to him and will give his life to keep a promise.

Kinobori no Waza, the art of tree climbing serves a dual purpose. Taking part in Kinobori Shugyou (Tree Climbing Training) helps a ninja learn how to focus their chakra. It also teaches the ninja how to run up trees and walk on vertical walls. The training helps the ninja learn how to focus just the right amount of chakra to a particular part of their body. The amount needed to climb is small but it must be precise. The feet are regarded as the hardest location to master chakra focusing. So by gaining the art of this skill, the ninja will have any jutsu available (theoretically) because they will be able to focus their chakra as needed.

A variation on the Kinobori no Waza (Act of Tree Climbing), the art of water surface walking allows a ninja to walk on water as if it was a solid surface. Focusing an even amount of chakra out of the soles of their feet, they can balance themselves on the very surface of the water.

• Mizu Tate no Jutsu - Water Shield Technique ~ C Rank
A shield of water is formed around the user as a
cylindrical barrier that reaches just above the user's head. After the initial
creation that user can manipulate the water, allowing for water spikes,
tentacles, hands and the like, though these appendages are not dexterous enough to handle a weapon. The bad thing is that the shield isn't that reliable
against ninjutsu. However, an opponent who is strong enough can break through the shield.
• Suiton: Mizu Shuriken no Jutsu - Water Shuriken Technique ~ C Rank
Through the use of water manipulation, the user can create multiple small shuriken comprised of water and launch them towards the target. After hitting and/or cutting a solid surface, they revert to water. It is important to note that these shuriken can be physically launched (by hand) or launched as they are created.

By taking dirt and rubbing it on his/her arms or legs,
after performing the necessary hand seals, the shinobi is able to create very
durable defensive bracers that add extra protection when using the arms to
block. The chakra that is infused in them help to soften the blows of any
physical attacks. These are very useful for taijutsu users or to defend against
an onslaught of upper body blows. These bracers block physical attacks.
• Doton: Shinjuu Zanshu no Jutsu - English Name ~ C Rank
This earth jutsu allows the user to “dive” into
the ground and move around in it as if it was water, or even thin air. This
ability allows the user to get near an opponent without notice and when below
him, pull down the opponent to ground, burying his body and leaving only the
head above the ground.
• Iwa Toge Fushido no Jutsu - Rock thorn bed jutsu ~ B Rank
After the user performs the necessary hand seals, they put both palms onto the ground. They force chakra into the ground and push down hard. 6 inch spikes raise out of the ground sticking straight up. This extends around the user 25 feet in each direction. The only spot not affected is a small 5 foot wide circle where the user is. These spikes are very sharp and can puncture skin very easily.

• Katon Housenka no Jutsu - Mythical Fire Flower Technique ~ C Rank
A jutsu that sends multiple blasts of fire from the mouth, usually with one target in mind.
• Katon: Hi Shinten no Jutsu - Flame Spread Technique ~ B Rank
This jutsu allows the user to extend the flame from their hand to any weapon or item they may be holding. This creates a surrounding layer of flame around the object, but the object is unharmed. This can only extend to a length of 3 feet maximum, or the length of a medium sized sword.
• Myaku Hitofuki no Jutsu - Pulse Blast Technique ~ C Rank
Hurls a fireball about the size of a basketball. For at center of this fireball is a gaseous core which, when the spherical attack finally makes contact with something, will explode and this gas will expand rapidly in a loud bang. The bang is simply a precursor though, as instantly afterwards a sharp concussive force will issue out all around the center of the blast. Though the explosion of the attack itself is not very strong, the force it sends out is enough to knock anyone who is within a certain radius of it flying.
**Lighting**
• Seiteki Suji no Jutsu - Static Strings Technique ~ C Rank
This skill allows the user to create strings of electricity that can either act physically as strings, or as a medium that can send small shocks to an opponent. One of this technique's most useful features is its ability to allow the user to detect outsiders. When the strings are placed around an area, they are often fairly difficult to see, and unnoticed by the quick eye. This quality makes the static strings into a string of electricity, but with such a weak current that it is rarely noticed by Shinobi who accidentally walk through the strings. However, when this happens, the user at once will feel a small shock in their fingers, or where ever else they are keeping the strings intact. But unless the opponent felt the weak current as they walked through the strings, the opponent will usually never know the strings were there. This skill can be used as a normal string when it is needed but none is around, or it can be used to create small shocks to other people. However, the shocks are only a little bit stronger than static electricity, and usually do no damage at all.
• Raikou Boruto no Jutsu - Lightning Bolt Technique ~ C Rank
A simple technique in concept and execution, in which the user performs the necessary handseals and then emits a short bolt of lightning from his or her hand.
• Dendou Kariyou no Jutsu - Electric Overdose Technique ~ C Rank
The user channels a large amount of electricity into a limb, making the chakra visible. Upon contact with the opponent, the electricity is shot into him and the target’s weight almost doubles, making it harder for the victim to move.
**Wind**
• Shinkuutai Naihatsu - Air Pocket Bursts ~ C Rank
Focusing on the air around them, the user is capable of causing parts of the wind to “burst” suddenly, causing anything nearby to be knocked aside. The burst does not do any damage however, and its primary purpose is to interrupt and leave the enemy open for further attacks. However the bursts can only be created within a twenty meter radius of the user and only at spots they are able to see.

A taijutsu where one launches a succession of high kicks and low kicks.

This technique is a good example of how even simple taijutsu can become a pre-eminently destructive, lethal technique. The attack is a simple rear spinning low kick, but a strong enough user can send a large adult flying as if they weighed nothing. The goal is to throw the enemy off balance, and deal damage to the lower half of their body.
• Kage Buyo - Shadow of the Dancing Leaf ~ C Rank
A technique where one follows the opponent, closely matching his or her body's movement, just like a leaf that dances in the air is followed by its shadow. The technique is usually preceded by a swift upper kick that will launch the target into the air. It is mainly used to position an opponent into a vulnerable aerial position.

Background:
Kagu was born to Nami and Izan, both respected Senju clan members. Nami was very attached to her father, often calling him the soul thing keeping her world spinning. What Nami didn’t know about her father was that he was a spy working for Otogakure, secretly teaching Otogakure ninja hidden leaf style ninjutsu and informing them of the Hokage’s every plan and thought. When news of this reached the Hokage he ordered Nami’s father to be killed; sending his personal squad of Anbu to do the job. Later that night Nami’s peaceful sleep was interrupted by the sound of someone entering her house. Unaware of what to do Nami ran down the hall and into her father’s room. He was already was already awake, sitting on his bed with a kunai in both hands. He quickly instructed shoved her in his closet, hiding her behind clothing. Through the small holes in the rice paper Nami watched as Anbu stormed her house, a single one walked into her father’s room. He approached her father and the two of them talked for a little while, what looked like a casual conversation soon turned violent as the Anbu quickly slid his sword through the father’s neck. She gasped as she watched small dark crimson droplets of blood crash onto the cloud white sheets of her father’s bed.
Nami watched as the Anbu carefully removed the sword, cleaned his sword with the bed sheets, and placed the blade back in its sheath. Her slight breathing turned to quiet hyperventilation as she watched the Anbu walk up to the closet holding her father’s kunai. She screamed as he sliced open the paper and crouched down to meet her height. Her whole body flinched as the Anbu gently grabbed her face. “You’re old enough to remember…One must always stay loyal. Without loyalty one has nothing.” Still in shock, Nami nodded at the Anbu’s words and watched him quickly walk out of the house. Once she was finally able to grasp the entire situation Nami destroyed her ninja headband, renounced the Kohona blood running through her veins, and fled the village. The Hokage at the time simply added her to the list of missing nin and went on with his life. After a few years Nami grew stronger and planned an assignation of the Hokage. In her mind he was the one responsible for her father’s death. The Anbu couldn’t do anything without an order.
Twenty years later, when she turned thirty five, she finally set her plan in motion. What she didn’t take into consideration was that the Hokage already knew she was coming. Instead of his personal Anbu he sent a younger well experienced Anbu, Izan Senju, to intercept Namii. They met about two miles outside the village gate, and proceeded to fight. Surprisingly Nami was able to keep up with Hisoka’s taijutsu and ninjutsu and it seemed there where evenly matched until Nami switched from using Katon styled jutsu to Raiton style easily cutting through Izan’s Doton’s defence. After a couple failed attacks Nami overpowered Izan holding him at knife point. Izan managed to form the hand signs to use in Jubaku Eiso and watched as branches quickly engulfed Nami’s body preventing her from moving an inch. He knew what he had to do. His mission was to kill her, but he couldn’t bring himself to end her life. The two of them talked and quickly fell in love. Izan convinced the Hokage to allow Nami back into Konoha under one condition, Nami had to apologize for her treason. After several hours of pleading Izan convinced Nami to apologize and she moved back into Konoha,
While both of Kagu's parents carried Senju DNA only his father, Izan, had the ability to use wood release techniques; a skill that Nami secretly envied. It was Nami’s envy and hatred for Izan that drove their marriage into the ground and drove her to infidelity. The day Izan decided that he finally had enough and was ready to leave his wife was the day they both found out she was pregnant. Their child was the, much needed, glue that held their family together. In light of this discovery Nami and Izan agreed to work everything out. Izan left his rank in the Anbu; telling the Hokage that he would need to have a less dangerous life in order to care for and protect his family and the two opened up a small ramen shop to provide for the family, they re-lit the fire of their love, and everything seemed to be looking up for the family. Then everything changed... Kagu's Kekki Genkai activated. The Rinnegan, the rarest and most exalted eyes among the three great dojutsu. At first Izan was ecstatic about the life that his son was going to live, but then reality set in. In order to have access to the Rinnegan, one must have both Senju and Uchiha DNA. Since he and his wife only had Senju DNA somehow their son gained the blood of an Uchiha. He had found out the truth. The child he cared for wasn't truly his.
While Kagu was at the academy taking his exams Izan confronted Nami with his discovery. At first she attempted to hide her shame but later admitted to falling in love with an Uchiha while the two were having relationship problems. When Izan refused to forgive Nami and even threatened to expose her deeds she attacked him. After an intense struggle Nami bairly managed to escape with her life and mortally wounded Izan. Nami wrote a brief message to Kagu and once again fled the village. Kagu came home moments after Nami left and found her note. He slowly walked into his parents room and found his father lying there, bloody and ] life-less. He dropped to his knees, sobbed, and buried his house along with his father’s body. Kagu nailed his award to his father’s favorite tree. Sadly he didn’t get to inform him that he just past the Academy exams with one of the top scors or even discuess his day like he did in the past. Kagu moved in with his uncle in Kirigakure. To cope with the grieving Kagu threw himself into his skill and success for a while before coming to terms with the events. Now he simply see's it as his past..."No reason it should affect the future and present."
