An american network (that I forget the name of right now sorry) asked the BBC for the rights to remake Sherlock for America, ignoring that the show had only done its first season at the time, and when they got told no they just decided to make their own version with their own unique spin; Watson is a GIRL ZOMG

Why would they make an American version of Sherlock? He's British... I don't understand why they couldn't just get the original to play here...
