Once upon a time a Strix lady, drunk on a recent human meal, met a handsome demon who also seemed to be a little intoxicated. Thinking her to be a Reaper he did his incubus thing, with the charm and seduction and tricking her into the pumpkin patch... and only too late did discover that, EW, she was a monster! Boy, did she find it strange to wake up in the pumpkin patch! Her bird baby was a strix like herself and so she suckled him, as any Strix mother must, until he was strong enough to live without her and as soon as she could she sent the spawn away to live with his demon father. She was not the motherly type! Daddy dearest was slightly horrified by his monster spawn but somewhere in the hole where his demon heart resided, he felt a need to care for his 'helpless' and 'abandoned' son. Daddy already had tons of kids... why not one more?


He was given to his father as soon as his mother could pawn him off. His father was a little taken aback, not by a surprise baby, but that this one was so strange (and a MONSTER *gaspFORSHAMEgasp*). Being an incubus, his father has many children, so many that they are honestly very hard to keep track of. Muka is the only non-demon of all of his spawn. He was raised as a black sheep in his father's household and treated as if he were 'special needs'.

Because of his father's wealth and standing as a demon, Muka is definitely used to a higher quality of life. Yes, he is used to the nice clothes and a nice house but his judgement of others comes not from their rank in society, but by how his senses 'read' them. He spends all of his time with demons so they don't interest him very much. He would be intrigued by any strange demons he's never met but the idea of an incubus or succubus is just 'boring' to him. He is very interested in meeting the other species of Halloween because of his sheltered life.

His father would like to trick the world into thinking he doesn't have a monster child and has been known to try and trick others into believing that Muka is a demon as well. The boil has had contact with his mother, as he is her only child, and she has taught him things about her culture but she finds her son to be strange and blames this on his father (and vice versa).

Ulmuka doesn't seem to mind whatever his parents think of him. He's glad to have them in his life (as some boils and ghouls are alone in the world) and he likes having such a large family (even if he can't keep track of them) but his long term goal is to get to the human world and sate his hungers.

Mother: Esmeralda Knox - She's a rather unknown monster and spends a lot of her time in the human world. She has an insatiable appetite and is known to gorge. Gorging gives her a 'drunkenness' that usually gets her into troublesome situations AKA Ulmuka's birth. As is customary, she suckled her child until he could be fed independently from her. She does care for her son but she's rather distant and irresponsible.

Father: Archibald Knobwalker VI - While not politically influential, he is one of the most well know incubus demons in Halloween. This is owed primarily to the fact that he is the most successfully fertile. He claims to have the highest number of spawn of all incubi.. but this has never been researched or verified. Others of his species find him rather obnoxious in his claims but there is no doubt about his abilities. He's handsome, charming and rich. Many demons have found their wives and daughters with turned heads as he's strolled by. He's also got bazillions of children. He treats Ulmuka well but mostly acts as if he is the handicapped child of the family. He is the only child required to be kept home (though he is so far also the youngest) and have tabs kept on him. Many of his children have filtered through the halls of Amityville, while dozens more simply went straight to work in the human world. The bottom line is that his name is known.. whether that is a good or bad thing is up to the individual.

Brother: Eustace "Stash" Knobwalker is the brother closest in age to Ulmuka and one of the few that Muka has gotten close with. He seems to want to follow in his father's footsteps and has just started to dabble in the human world. While he isn't the most handsome of all the children, he is very close to being the most outgoing and personable. He treats Muka normally but only laughs when his father treats his little brother like he's disabled. He is the one who gave Muka his minipet Plungie.

Muka also has a miscellaneous number of older siblings who he has only met briefly.

[STRIX]

What is a Strix?

The Strix is a shapeshifting monster that takes the form of an owl and feeds off of humans. Some Strix feed solely on the flesh and blood of their victims and some are told to come in the night and simply suck the life from their prey. Human descriptions of Strix are very vague. Strix mothers are required to suckle their young in order for them to survive.

Owl-like Habits

- Ulmuka has bird bones. This makes him rather weak and not very durable when it comes to impact.

- Not much of a runner. Despite being tall and thin with long strides, he gets winded easily. He's much more accustomed to flying.

- Most owls have a weak sense of smell (with a few exceptions) and Muka is the same. His eyesight is one of the best in the animal kingdom and his hearing is exceptional. He also has a wicked sense taste (which makes awful meals worse, btw) but his sense of smell is pretty lacking so he may end up hanging around with awful smelling people and never really realize it.

- While FEAR fuels him like all denizens of Halloween, he is fond of hunting small animals for sport and snacks. His family has extensive grounds with woods and fields for him to hunt since he is not allowed to leave the property.

- Because he eats small animals and minipets he hacks up owl pellets. Often times if his laughing gets carried away he will lapse into coughing and hacking. Sometimes this will result in a rather large and nasty owl pellet.

Beginner Trashbot Summon:
Difficulty level: Beginner
Pre-requisites: N/A
Battle Effect: A character can summon their pocket-sized Trashbot to aid them in battle, the Trahsbot acting like a small clockwork explosive. Roll a 4-sided dice. This is the damage you do the opponent. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: A character can icly create a pocket-sized Trashbot to help them pick up things/ clean their room/ do very minor Trashbot-like things. They can only create one at a time.
Requirements: Get to wave five of a single open class of Trashology 101

Arts & Crafts 101 -
Beginner Summoned Object
Difficulty level: Beginner
Pre-requisites: N/A
Battle Effect: Once per battle, you may choose to use your Crafts skill to summon a small craft-and-paper created guardian. Roll a six-sided dice. If odd, the guardian will defend you for two damage for the next three turns. If even, it does nothing. You forfeit your normal battle attack turn if you want to use this attack.
Non-battle Effect: You can create and summon a small craft-and-paper created guardian from any piece of paper/napkin/ etc. It doesn't do much but float around, and it's a little less entertaining than a minipet...
Requirements: Pass the class Arts and Crafts 101

FEAR Talons - Battle Cry T3 - Muka gather's fear around his talons for a powerful strike.
Dice: 9d4
First Dice:

xxxxx 2-4: Full Damage
Damage: Add up remaining dice. This total is the damage dealt to your opponent.
Average Damage: 20

Deadly Swoop - Swift Strikes T2 - Muka swoops at the target over and over, dealing damage with every strike.
Dice: 9d4
First Dice:
xxxxx 1: Miss
xxxxx 2 - 3: HIT however the resulting damage is divided by 2. Only 50% of the damage is dealt.
xxxxx 4: HIT however the resulting damage is multiplied by .8. Only 80% of the damage is dealt.
Damage: Ignore the first dice, total up the remaining dice. Divide or multiply the total by the modifier depending.

Owl Screech - The Mind T1 - Muka's shriek disorients his target, making them easier to hit.
Dice: 2d4
First Dice: represents your Accuracy.
xxxxx 1: You move worked, but it backfired! Change YOUR OPPONENT'S modifier from -6 to -5.
xxxxx 2-3: Miss
xxxxx 4: Success!
Second Dice: represents how many turns the effect lasts.
xxxxx 1-2: One Turn
xxxxx 3-4: Two Turns
Effect: Target subtracts -5 instead of -6 to determine damage. If used and the ally uses a Fear, add +1 to the ACCURACY result/dice. If the Fear does not have an accuracy, add it to the total. Be sure to note this in your post and double-check any attacks made against you!

[DORM]

Ulmuka's dorm is a bit out of the way. In one of the high towers of the monster dorms he got one of the draftier and inconveniently placed rooms. Any non-flying friend will find that visiting Muka involves a lot of stairs.

From the hallway the room opens into a high ceiling sitting area. Muka has a large skeevee and several gaming systems. These systems work fine most of the time but are known to react badly if a player in any way abuses the game (in language or physically. Don't throw controllers!). Muka doesn't even play the games very much but any friends will find something to kill the time.

There's a large old style couch with a few pillows and a heavy desk covered in Muka's school books, paper, supplies, etc. The desk doesn't looked like it's used very much and the chair is tucked closely in as if it hasn't been sat in. One corner is dedicated to roosts, perches, platforms and beds for various minipets. It's like a large pet hotel.

This half of the room is separated from the other with a laaaaarge fishtank containing his mass of minipets. The other side is not as nice. There's a messily made bed, wardrobe and large windows that open to a ledge, allowing Muka or any other flying friends to travel freely by air. This section of the room also leads to the bathroom. There, once again, is a nicer half with a sink, toilet and shower and the other side simply contains a large shallow pool. A GIANT BIRDBATH?!

The rafters of the drafty room are filled with various minipets who are roosting. Not all are his pets, some are wild, and just hang out up there because he constantly leaves the large windows wide open.

- On top of hitting Y3, that is when you hit Y3, it takes another 50 points to graduate. As this is a school, it does have very specific school curricula:
- In addition a graduation requires from your student's entire career:
At least 10 battle spars
At least 5 classes attended
At least 5 open classes finished

Points and meta substitution:
- you can SUBSTITUTE ANY of the above with a character's meta participation in in any of these listed meta events. HOWEVER, it is only a ONE TIME point. So for example, if you have character A, and they have participated in the HAUNTED HOUSE meta you can use that participation to substitute for either ONE battle spar, ONE class attended, or ONE open class finished. You cannot do all three, just ONE PER META. Your choice of in which category. They do not need to have participated in a class in that meta, they just need to have been active in that meta (over 800 words posted). It has to be THAT character who was in the meta as well!
- You can do this for a max of 5 points period. So that's 5 metas max of point substitution. (5 points max substitution per character).
