Okay, so I was talking with my friends about the new Pirates movie. We all seemed to be torn. On one hand, all the movies have been really good so far and we want to see another good movie. On the other hand, Disney is milking the Pirates franchise and seems like they're overdoing it.
For example, about a month ago, the character Angelica from Pirates 4 was added into WDW and DL in CA, BEFORE the movie has even come out. This really bugs me...
So, what I'm getting to is this: What are your views on the Pirates franchise (movies, attractions, clothes, toys...)?

I do agree they milk it, but a lot of time its the high up smart people going, "How can we make the most money?" In that way, Disney can be the smartest. They may very well rule the world someday...I'm just kidding, but it is the reason why they milk things. They do it with Phineas and Ferb too because they know it's the only show people like with the ones left. Don't get me started on all the High School Musical stuff.
The Disney corporation isn't the only ones that do these things. Look at Nick, they push and push Spongebob until the shows are really stupid, but he's now the face of Nick a lot of the time. They have also push iCarly since it began. The entertainment business is money hungry just like most other businesses.
All of this aside, I did enjoy the fourth pirates movie, but it wasn't as good as the others. There were some really funny twists, but a lot of it was predictable from the start. Not that I mind predictable in the least. I just know some people don't like it. All in all, not the best movie ever, but it was worth my six bucks.
P.S. No matter what you've heard DO NOT stay to the end of the credits. Not worth it. I will even tell you what was at the end of them if you ask.
P.P.S. To those of you wondering, Johnny Depp has signed on for a fifth movie.
