As all the attacks connected and the monster started to dissolve, only then did Karuto loosen his grip. He slumped, breathing heavily as he laid on the ground. Shakily he brought he hand to his shoulder and then his side, feeling both wounds. The one on the shoulder was worse. He had only hurt himself by exerting himself so much with that arm bar. With great effort he sat up and looked around to his friends. Masato, even in a hurry, scooped up a key and threw it to him. He knew the location of the big bad guy and he would have to help in his destruction, injury or no.
Still sitting on his butt, he looked from Lahil to Katsumi "Thank you. Both of you. I...I couldn't have done it without your help. He was impervious to everything I threw at him. However" Rising up to his full height with a wince, he looked off into the distance where Masato ran off "We still have a job to do. There will be more of these guys and we need to take them out"
Walking to Lahil, he bowed in her "I am thankful to have you as my teammmate, Lahil. I owe you one for sure!" After this he turned and repeated the short bow to Katsumi "We may both be a little bit tired for our date tonight but I'm still looking forward to it" Grinning a little, he continued "Thanks a billion Bat-Queen" Walking away from the two, he pointed in the direction o the interior of the village "I'm headed to patrol the village and help out. If you wanna come, come on. If not I'll meet up with you guys later" And with that he took off running in that direction
Saiko would find himself in the area around the fountain. It looked as if a battle had just recently happened here but, it seemed it was over so Saiko figured it was safe enough to look around the area. He would start by circling the perimeter and slowly make his way in closer to the fountain until he would search around there. Making sure to check every nook and cranny.

And if you would look at that, Saiko had managed to find another pumpkin hiding inside the fountain. The boy would take it out of the fountain and throw it against the ground, getting rid of it. Inside the pumpkin he noticed something strange and took it out. Hmm. He wasn't quite sure what the object was but, it seemed to be from another part of the village. Perhaps this is how he could find where the pumpkins were coming from but, he we would need more evidence.

With the battle having been ended in a decisive blow by the other genin Ferrah stood as still as a statue. Of course on the inside a rush swam through her veins. One of the greatest feelings for her was the aftermath of a great battle. The feeling when the danger has passed and all that's left is the adrenaline running through you. For however brief of a window it was it made her feel like anything was possible. Still Ferrah kept a grip on herself as one of the nin she attempted to help came to speak with her. Lahlil? What in the hell are you getting me into girl. Ferrah wasn't entirely sure how she should respond to the man so in the end she just didn't. Picking up where she had left off Ferrah started to search around the fountain for any pumpkins that might be hiding nearby.
Thrice now Ferrah had found a pumpkin without being able to trace it back to anywhere and it was starting to get on her nerves. Who even uses pumpkins as a weapon of terror anyways? Storming out of the square Ferrah continued on her hunt.
Karuto reappeared at the fountain. The village was more or less secured, he had done a quick pass and hadn't seen any more monsters or pumpkins. Since his duty seemed to be fulfilled and the danger had more or less passed, Karuto decided to turn his attention to something more person. This is what led him back here, to her.
"Hey Katsumi! Ready for that date?" The wound he had taken for her had pretty much been healed by the hospital and now that the Skeleton King was defeated he had time to have a relaxing time with a pretty girl. Score.

Katsumi looked up from the fountain to see that giant of a man Karuto standing before her again. He was asking about their date of all things. It made her chuckle lightly for a moment. "I suppose I am, are you no longer injured?" she asked rather coldly. Any sense of empathy or concern would probably be lost with the chill of her voice. Getting up from her seat she looked up into the sky to see Nozuki gliding overhead. The large bat was just sticking around in case she was needed.
She definitely was aloof, that was for sure. The girl didn't seem to enjoy letting her emotions, nor her thoughts, be easily identifiable. It made conversing interesting as he could never tell what she was really feeling. In response to her inquiry, he rotated his shoulder and grinned "Not anymore. We have some really great medical ninja. Besides, 'Twas but a flesh wound"
Looking past her, he gestured off towards where what little of the fountain remained. It was ruined by the fight earlier "Thanks for the help earlier by the way. You've got some really neat attacks. We should definitely spar sometime!"

Well he seemed to be doing well enough. That was somewhat relieving though perhaps more so because it lessened her feelings of being indebted to Karuto, To the minimal extent she felt such a way of course. Getting bogged down by the whims of others was a fools errand. After all she hadn't asked him to get injured for her sake. "Maybe next time you won't need to make them heal you, still your gesture is appreciated to an extent."
At the mention of a spar she seemed to size him before before huffing almost angrily. "Why should we engage in such a thing? I am far from prepared after being forced to lollygag around while waiting for the cogs of bureaucracy to actually turn." Indeed there would probably be little contest between Karuto and herself. She had been scarcely allowed to even use most jutsu while awaiting clearance for the academy and her skills had since necrotized from disuse.
This girl had a tendency to use what his father would have called "Five Dollar Words." It took him a second of conscious effort to make out what she was saying. While some people may have been offended that Katsumi wasn't more grateful, Karuto didn't care. He didn't fight to get appreciated for it, he fought because he was good at it. Nobody ever became a Village Hero by standing on the side-lines after all. However, when Katsumi addressed his request to spar, Karuto's eyebrows did burrow with slight annoyance "Sorry Princess, but I think you just answered your own question. When you fight, you push your own limits; it let's you grow as shinobi and as a person. Move the cogs yourself, ya know?"
Shifting, as he was a little uncomfortable in regards to correcting the woman, he kicked a rock by his feet "It's my dream to lead this village. Make us powerful, let the young come up in peace. I know it'll be difficult. That's why I'm out to be the strongest. I want to be a Hero of the Sand, and I will do whatever I have to to make that happen" Looking up at the sun, he grimaced as he estimated the time "Geez, we better get going. I told the old man we'd be getting there right about now" Stepping to her side, Karuto would exit the area with her if she allowed it, heading to the Tea Shoppe

Her face remained rather still and cold while he declared her to be wrong. Even his calling her a princess did little to provoke a physical reaction from her. "Having such simple faith in conflict must be nice, however in this instance I was barred from utilizing jutsu while this village processed my paperwork and determined if I would be allowed to stay. Following that I had to attend the academy as well, during which there were ample restrictions as you no doubt know." As a foreigner to this land she had been watched closely and restricted heavily until such a time as it was determined that her story checked out and she would be permitted to become a kunoichi of Sunagakure. Even after graduating the academy she found herself to be without a sensei or an assignment. While one could grow from self study such things took far more time then with an instructor. Of that she was sure. No thanks to the encounter with the strange man. That had only served to show her how much she had fallen behind.
Despite her dismissive words, she still listened attentively to Karuto as he spoke of his dream. His conviction was interesting, though also an admirable trait. Perhaps somewhat foolish though that could have just been her own cynicism talking. Katsumi was rather jaded all things considered. Still she deigned not to answer Karuto's dream with dismissive words. A courtesy in exchange for saving her. As for his statement about the time, well he had a point. "Agreed, being tardy is unwise in most cases." With that said she walked along side him to the best of her ability. Of course with the great difference in their heights it would be hard to keep up with him unless he didn't take his full stride.
As he traced from roof to roof taking pot shots at snowmen he quickly came to land upon the fountain in the near center of the city. Closing his eyes he focused once more to take in what his senses could. Though his focus was disrupted a bit by memories, or were they dreams? Which forced their way to the surface. Shaking them away he continued on towards his chosen goal. Even he had to admit it felt good to get his chakra flowing again.

Snow formed even faster here. The snowmen formed in much denser forms. Two of the yeti snow monsters formed first and foremost. Then, a pack of snow dogs rose from the frozen ground and started to search around. Finally, a myriad snow birds covered the sky and flew through the falling powder. This was not just a scavenging party, this was a war zone. All the while, the Sugar Plum Fairy smiled as she left the area. She was headed off to the residential district, to hopefully find and eliminate Nariomi.
"INCOMING" He yelled out, as he fell upon one of the Snow Yeti's. He brought his fist crashing down into it's head, hopefully shattering it completely. With one dispatched, he turned to face the final one and made a motion with his hand "C'mon ugly, whatcha got?" As the group had traveled over here, Karuto spotted the large amount of snowmen. Giving instructions to back him up, Karuto lept into the air, clearing the hundred yard gap between the group and his target, and thus found himself in this position. The snowmen and snow dogs would still need to be dealt with. Hopefully his genin could keep them off him while he dealt with the big ones.
