Phoenix Gearfried

Level 8/Fire/Warrior
2800/2200

This card is treated as a Normal Monster while face-up on the field or in the Graveyard. While this card is face-up on the field, you can Normal Summon it to have it be treated as an Effect Monster with this effect:
● When your opponent activates a Spell Card, you can select 1 Gemini Monster from your Graveyard and Special Summon it. Also, you can send 1 face-up Equip Card you control to the Graveyard to negate the activation of a Spell or Trap Card that targets a monster on the field and destroy it

I am trying to set up a tournament worthy gemini deck. I want to use Phoenix Gearfried, i seems reliable, strong and easy to summon. But so many people have posted negative feedback about it.

Apparently it's a 'dead draw' ?

Yet some people suggest putting 3 in a deck.

Which is the right thing to do?

Anata wa watashi ga zutto mae ni "sayounara" to yutta hito wo omoidasaseru.

Honestly, horrible idea if you want a tournament worthy deck.

Only good gemini deck is Gigavise....and even that is sorta out dated.

Not trying to be mean...I'm just pointing out the facts.

You can still make a deck based around Phoenix Gearfried...it just won't take you passed locals...if that.
You remind me of someone I said goodbye to a long time ago.

You want a Light/E Hero/Gemini deck with anti meta thrown in.

Of course you can try a gemini deck with him, just add him, future fusion and supervise.

What does anti meta mean? Sorry if this is a noob-ish question. I don't know all of the YGO slang!

So is the best advise to re-model my deck completely to make it more tourny worthy?

Does anyone have any links for tounry worthy decks? With geminis would be preferable

Go to the homepage, click on the Event Coverage link. From their look for a post with decklists.

...I do...in fact.

It IS pretty horrible, but it's just about the best a gemini-based deck will be getting.
