WRITERS in our guild! Step forward! Fellow Captaineer/Owner Faeriebell and I have decided to offer a contest in honor of that special day that House probably hates, Valentine's Day!
The challenge is simple! Write a "ficlet" of 2,000 words or less. The theme is "Valentine's Day." That's it - any pairing, any rating (PG-13 or lower, of course), any way you want to play it! Just practice good grammar and try to stay in character.
You may e-mail your entries to me, Odalisque, in the form of an attachment. I can accept .doc (Microsoft Word) or .cwk (AppleWorks) files. You may also send it as a .txt, but I would prefer you not to copy and paste it into an email. The email address to use is the.chimbley.sweep@gmail.com
Faeriebell and I will start a blogspot account where we will post the entries for everyone to read.
At the end of the submission period, we will have a "voting period." Everyone has one vote to cast towards the "Reader's Choice Award." There will also be an "Crew's Choice Award," chosen by Faeriebell and me. There will be more categories as we get more prizes sweatdrop
The Deadline: February 9th
Winners Announced: February 14th
Prizes: Crew's Choice wins a November 2K5 Donation letter (Nitemare Parasol or Snow Yeti Plushie)
Reader's Choice wins an August 2K5 Donation letter (Whip of Fire or Whip of Ice)

I'm so glad this is set up and running! I have been moving and unable to log on, so thanks Odalisque for setting this up!!
A ficlet is a small fanfic, nothing too long. (less than 2000 words)
Good luck to all that submit stories and I look forward to reading them!!
