From your list, maybe Speed Slaves? they reminde me of Dir en Grey a bit (not quite as good). I personally range. Everything from Versailles-Phliharmonic Quintet- and Malice Mizer to DELUHI and The GazettE. b o r n is pretty good and I MUST, MUST recommend D'espairsRay and Ayabie.

Just jump on last.fm and type in visual kei or j-rock (or pop, if that's what floats your boat) and see what come up on the stream. if you don't like what's playing, skip it.

Oh, and check out DEATHGAZE and Keritsu.

Um.. there's plenty of other stuff but this is a nice rounded list. If anyone could recommend Japanese stuff similar to this stuff I'd appreciate it. Particularly Pearl Jam. They are ruining my immersion environment lol (Also, Eddie Vedder's solo work counts as Pearl Jam for the purposes of this list).

Japanese along the lines of Gaga would be really good too. She's my embarassing guilty pleasure... Cleaning music ^.^

I always thought listening to Japanese music recreationally was only for the nerdiest of anime freaks, but I absolutely love MUCC (ムツク). Their music ranges from metal to reggae, and they are SO talented.

I like Koharu Kusumi, Yuki Kimura, C-ute, Berryz Kobo, Buono!, Aa!, Kira Pika, Morning Musume, On/Off, Kanon Wakeshima, MilkyWay, Vocaloid, and Utada Hikaru... So you should check all them out... wink

Ohh, and my friend likes Luzmelt, Versailles, Suicide Ali, Perfume... Something like that, haha...
