Perhaps Wényǎ wasn't the smartest or the fastest learner in her family, but one thing had rapidly become clear to her: lounging around by yourself was a true privilege. Normally her days were filled with learning everything she could from her mother and her two Ladies-in-Waiting, not to mention fooling around with her sisters, and there wasn't much time to hang around and do absolutely nothing.
Which was fine, usually, but sometimes a girl just needed to unwind and not have to watch out for pouncing sisters or nagging adults, really. Which was why Takara had snuck away from the rest - not far away, mind, because she wasn't that stupid, but far enough that their normal racket had been reduced to a slight buzzing sound in the distance - and was currently doing just that: lounging leisurely and getting a hold of her own thoughts. |

Having six children was a lot of work. Six girls? Insanity.
The Lady, while not exhausted, was certainly a little tired. She was very greatful for the helpful paws in teaching and keeping an eye on her children. She knew that she was in every right to leave everything to them, but the sweet lioness would never bear being able to ignore those six pairs of eyes.
Her nose had offered her a hint that one of them had lingered off for a bit. Intrigued, she had followed, letting the rest of the children continue on with their break. A little recreation, or relaxation, was certainly part of their studies as well. Stress was something that needed to be handled, but their your mind needed the break more often than the adults.
Her ears perked forward as she listened intently for her daughter; nothing. Well, perhaps she was asleep, but Mio would only check on her to make sure. |
