....And by never again, I mean not until next time...

Let me explain.

I currently work at a call center. I already posted this info before.

I also am signed up with a temp agency. I got a call from them to do a job.
I accepted.
I didn't take time off of my permanent job to do it.

The hours weren't even the problem, half as much as just getting around. I have no wheels. As in, none. I have no car, no motercycle, no bicycle, no skateboard, roller blades or skates/wheelbarrow. Nothing. All I got is a bus pass and my legs. That means the time I would have spent eating was spent getting from one job to another, and the time I would have spent sleeping was spent getting home from one job.

...but the paycheck was sooo nice. I just went and had a little shopping spree. I now have enough to pay for my tuition without worrying about anything and I'll still have some left over.

So, discuss:

-Missing my birthday thread here because I was too busy working
-Working a lot. I know at least one of you has something to say about that.
-Living off of red bull and how it's bad for you
-Selling your soul (and your sleep) for money.
-Why can't I just find a job that pays as well as my current job without making me want to rip out my inner ear?

And most importantly, do you guys think it was worth not having me around for a couple weeks? xd

I was worried about you, I'll admit. sad
When I first started my job as a cashier at Target, I wanted to work three to four days a week, 25 hours tops. For two weeks, I was suddenly working five days a week for almost forty hours. I'll admit, the pay got awesome, but I was getting fatigued and getting really irritable at home. Plus I was barely able to see my friends and family.
My job's something I can only handle for about six hours a day. Eight hours...well, the whole damn thing's pretty monotonous, plus I never get to sit down until break or lunch.

When I was working both jobs I was actually working for 11 hours a day for five days, then 8 hours on the weekends.

You might as well do the work and get the money while you can. A few days of inconvenience is a small price to pay for a bit more financial security.

When my bike was out of action, I was getting up at 4.30 and going to bed at about 11.30. Those were long a** days.

You do what you have to do to pay the bills really. Give it time and some good job will come along. Less hours and more pay.

I just quit my job. Which is great because I hated it but bad because now I have no income.
...So...now I'm wondering if I screwed up.
But hey! At least I get to sleep in tomorrow!

How Ironic! I just picked up ANOTHER job so that I can pay rent, because they cut my hours.

7:30 is nothing, I have to get up at 6, but even that's not so bad.

I think it was worth it for you, having tuition money is just a huge load of your back, seriously.
