Keishi really didn't want to ******** up his own car any worse than he already had, seeing as he dented the door and probably got some ice inside that would melt and make the seats funky. Instead of launching the orb at her or his precious car door he thrust his arm into the ground with as much force as he could muster. His hand hurt like hell because of it, but the orb detonated and surged out towards Mitsuko along the ground. The ground would be summarily covered in a thick sheen of ice in a ten foot spread from keishi, even going so far as the freeze the car's wheels to the ground, and maybe the young lass as well.

[Mitsuko Daiwa]

Mitsuko watched him punch the ground, and wondered what on earth he doing. Suddenly she watched the ice move across the ground at a rapid pace, and understood something of what he was trying to do.
As quickly as she could, she stood from the semi-crouched position. She threw the gun up on the roof of the car, then, still moving quickly she placed one foot on the floor of the car, and braced the other on the door, and hoisted herself up onto the roof.
Mitsuko then grabbed her gun, took aim semi-carelessly, and fired five shots in rapid succession. From where she'd aimed, they should hit him in his arm or shoulder region area, since she still wasn't trying to kill him.
Mitsuko hoped at least one would hit him, because she wasn't sure what she would do if she didn't at least injure him, considering she'd just wasted five rounds.

 

[Tacitus]

A flash of light accompanied the first shot, then the second, and a brilliant white flash accompanied the third. When the fourth hit it was accompanied by the sound of glass -or perhaps crystal- shattering, and the fifth produced a groan of pain. Wisps of mist hung around him, leaving him visible to the point where it was clear that he was clutching his arm. With a scowl on his face the mist began to cover him again, "Shinjimae gabaman." It was an insult, something about her being stupid and refering to her with an alternate name for a part of her anatomy, and thats all that needs to be said.

[Mitsuko Daiwa]

Mitsuko smiled with triumph as soon as the sequence of events was over. She hadn't understood what he'd said, but didn't care. She'd hit him. Of course, it was just his arm, but still, it was more than nothing.
Since he still seemed to be in the process of putting his defenses back up, she thought perhaps it would take less rounds of ammunition. She took aim, and fired three rounds, hoping to hit him somewhere in leg this time, and possibly immobilize him.
With those three rounds gone, she only had two left.

 

[Tacitus]

A flare of light errupted when the first hit , but the second and third would not strike him in the least. As soon as he was out of sight just enough he moved into a rolling slide across the icy ground until he hit normal asphalt and kicked back. He'd kick up and slide awkwardly into his car, busting up the door a bit on the passenger's side as his feet smashed into it, but his right hand would be clearly visible gripping the door jam, fingers just barely touching the roof. With a surge of light mirroring that from his defenses a burst of ice would flood across the roof of the car with all intents of freezing the young lass to the roof this time instead of the ground.

[Mitsuko Daiwa]

She frowned, and had a feeling she'd failed. She'd seen the flash of light, but hadn't heard the accompanying groan of pain.
Mitsuko began to squint around again, looking for him. She was unsure of his location, and suddenly felt extremely exposed on top of the car.
She was just about to get off, when she saw movement out of the corner of her eye. When she turned her head, she saw a hand sitting upon the roof of the car.
She wondered what it was doing, foolishly, until there was a blinding flash of light. She felt an odd sensation grow in the pit of her stomach, and suddenly she was surrounded on all sides by a warm, yellow-ish, gold-ish light. She watched, then, as the blast that had come from the man struck the barrier. When that happened, there was a small explosion of light, and as the shield shattered, Mitsuko was propelled backwards onto the ground. She twisted a little, so she wouldn't hit her head, but was still stunned by the impact.
