Moderators take care of Terms of Service violations, not site features. Really, devs do coding projects so it's hard to fault them. They don't make monetary decisions.

Gaia in this dystopian future has experienced catastrophic inflation. Even the most basic items require wheelbarrows full of gaian gold to purchase. Nubies are wandering around item less due to an inability to amass huge amounts of gaian gold. Gaia cash rules the day.
