I have my beautiful dog Watson
User Image - Blocked by "Display Image" Settings. Click to show.

(roughly 7 months old)
has been having this strange mood, where he seems to be depressed (meaning, hes just laying in his chair a lot, he hides in the middle between a wall and a storage space)
He walks slowly, eats less than usual.
BUT, when Im about to drive, it seems that that is the only time he is happy, inside the car.
What worries me the most, are his eating habits.
This has been going on for almost 3-4 days
He has his shots, no weird pooping, drinks plenty of water.
Is it something I should worry about, or am I just over reacting.
My mom did say it was just him growing.
I dont know, help?

Update
I took Watson to the vet on Sunday.
He said there was nothing wrong with him and that I shouldnt worry.
But he made me buy him some deworming medicine.
Came home, waited like he told me. Gave him the medicine.
He does seem a bit more lively than before, but his eyes still seem sad.
I love my little dog, and Im just worried.
So yeah, thats the update on Watson ^^;;

cєℓєsтιαℓ ғιʀєғℓιєs:

Not eating is rather weird, especially for a growing pup. Did anything change recently? Did anyone go on a trip or leave?

The lethargy and not eating sounds worrying. Has he vomited at all? He could have eaten something that's now blocking his insides, without you guys knowing. I would definitely take him to the vet for this reason. A lot of animals have an instinct to hide pain, and even if Watson isn't whining or anything, he could be hurting.

No not at all, he hasnt vomited or anything.
Thats why Im freaked. His defecates normal, believe me Ive been following him around.

About the trip, both my parents went out of town for a few days but theyve been back for almost a month I believe, even then he was perfectly normal.

Will he eat anything, like maybe some chicken?

I knew my dog wasn't feeling well when he flat out refused people food.

Yes he does, he's very enthusiastic when we give him like little pieces of human food.

And its not like he doesnt eat at all, just that if he used to eat 1 cup of food, he now only eats 1/4 of it.

As long as he's still willing to eat I wouldn't worry too much but maybe he doesn't like the kind of food you're giving him.

Take him for walks or drives, if that's his favorite. Or play with him a lot if you have the time. It might pull him out of his little funk.
