Some of my art... Varied styles- Critiques Requested!

Hello there (:

I'm new to digital art; started this summer.
I guess you can say I'm on a journey to learn the ins and outs of digital art.
I like to explore different styles and try out new programs & techniques.

The following are a few of my favorites, some are relatively old.

My PlagueRat ~ Very cartoon-like. Still one of my all-time favorites.
My Water Dragon ~ This was a mix between line art and painting. Just testing out Open Canvas with this one... Still really like it though ^_^
Feathers ~ I really like how these turned out...
Maleficent ~ My favorite Disney Villain from my favorite Disney movie.
Elegant Ink ~ My latest attempt at digital painting...

I'm finishing up another piece right now...Been on vacation so I haven't been able to work on it lately.

I find some of your artwork to be a bit simple, yet charming and effective. I don't see a whole lot of complex work in it, but the way you apply what you know I find to be quite good. Frankly, I prefer someone using more basic methods well, than someone using complex methods poorly. Very nice work. mrgreen

I really appreciate that. I'm trying my best to learn different techniques, but the simpler ones always seem to stick to me better.

I've never been terribly good with a large amount of detail...
I think it usually comes out looking too cluttered, so I try to keep everything clean and simplified.
