I am confused with the watanuki losing his memories thing though. Anyone wants to nudge me into the right direction?

when we first read the manga we assumed it was Watanuki and Yuuko's first meeting but that's not true.
you see Watani traded his memories before the manga's timeline even started.

Yeah. At the moment time is disintigrating, you can tell also by reading the most recent chapters of Tsubasa. It may have actually happened during the story's time-line, but since there is the current problem with time, it ended up being before the time-line, which is definately a confusing thing to think about.

If you have ever seen the Cube movies, specifically Cube 2, you will see the break up in time and space as well. When you think about it, a cube has three dimensions, which is what the first movie was about, but in the second movie it extended to a 'fourth' dimension, which it explained as time.

During the course of the movie, they were seeing things in different rooms that had happend earlier in the movie, and some things that were yet to happen becuase time had no real straight line in that move. This is what is happening between Tsubasa and xxxHolic at the moment. (I do HIGHLY suggest that you watch Cube 2, if you aren't squeemish, it is a little bloody).

right now...yuuko's disappearing, leaving watanuki, doumeki, moro and maru and mokona behind in the shop. yuuko's last wish is for watanuki to keep on existing and also it seems that doumeki was given authority by yuuko to choose the time when he will use watanuki's egg
