The story:
Kimihiro Watanuki can see spirits, and those spirits have a tendency to follow him around, causing him tremendous stress! One day, seemingly by chance he stumbles into a strange shop, as if by some magical force...
Inside he meets Yuuko Ichihara - a witch who says she can rid him of his spirit visions, for an equal price. His price? He now must work for her in her shop, until he has paid off his debt! xxxHolic tells the story of these two, along with Watanuki's close friends Doumeki and Himawari, and the strange encounters and challenges they face.
