You lose your phone from all the nightmares oh no! You have to use a ghetto phone until it is replaced. It looks like those old flip nokia phones and has only text messaging and regular phone. If you want to use twitter, better borrow someone else's phone.
Somewhere in the fuss, apparently, Ever's phone had fallen out of his pocket. Considering the mess the rest of him was in, he was unlikely to even notice. And it was more than possible he'd be happier with a 90s-era-flip-phone than the overwhelming nature of modern smart phones...

[ SAHARA ] > portal
Maybe Vasily had been a little bit in danger, but -- even still, when someone caught him by the shoulder to guide him along, he made a soft sound of protest that was very much an I can do it myself. Except, of course, that he couldn't. He felt so bruised around the edges that just a stumble in the sand left him too woozy to stand properly on his own.
Then he'd shut up and just let Jordan help him through the portal, grumbling quietly about his lost coat.
Suddenly a miracle as somebody grabbed a hold of her and showed her the way, with encouraging words that, somehow, filled her with just enough resolve to get her the last few steps to the portal.
He was gone before she could even mumble thank you, probably off to help more, though she looked on as he left, trying to remember what he looked like in case she ran into him later.
With a heavy sigh, she drug herself through the portal, found Tobin, and collapsed next to him, one arm sprawling over his prone form.
She didn't even notice the piece of centipede carapace still attached to her leg.

Someone took Terry's shoulder to support him. "Here, come on, portal is this way," Jordan said, and guided the trainee in the right direction.
Melvin was heading to the portal when he heard another hunter calling out for help. Groaning as he debated just heading forward, he readjusted Lawr in his arms and moved through the blistering sand to her. Offering his hand, he heaved her up before releasing and hokding Lawr again.
"Hold my arm. I know the way." Walking ahead he headed to the portal, but winced as he felt something slash his leg before he saw a bug segment slide into the sand.
It should have been easy to find him again, Kai was a big man, and his hair and skin did it against the much paler sand. Instead, it took a minute, Peyton running around, dodging Titan parts and hunters alike until she finally stopped him. "Kai!"
Darting through the chaos to his side, she took his hand, her other circling his thick wrist. Dragging him out of the sand so she could get him back on his feet. "I've got ya, we're going home, okay?" He could lean on her, she'd sort him on the walk back.
Or she'd have to drag him. He was too big for her to carry. She'd hardly even notice when she she'd get toe.
There was an awful taste in his mouth, he would have spit but was way to dehydrated for even that at the minute. Instead a sort of dry gag happened and caused him to let lose of Alicia, even if it meant wiggling free of her grasp. A hand covered the teens mouth and he coughed for what seemed like ages.
Suddenly more people were in the madness, new people, cleaner people. Artemis looked on in awe as they shot out all around them. Some yelling, some pointing, to what? The teen blinked in a stupid daze trying to figure out what to do. Keep moving. The words were heard and took to heart, "lets go!" He shouted to the female with him, turning now towards the bright blue light ahead.
That had to be where everyone was running, so he started to run too.
Alicia was let to follow him if she wanted but Artemis was getting the ******** out of here. Or he was trying as hard as he could. In the mad dash for the portal he was knocked over into the sand, gaining a mouthful before looking up to see a terrible looking man. Man. Talk about ugly. Suddenly the judgement stopped as the guy shoved a tablet into his hands, instructing Artemis to guard it with his life. Yeah right he thought bitterly, gaining a laugh from his weapon.
The item however was taken under shoulder as he pushed up and started to 'run' through the sand again. It was hard and each step felt heavier than the last, by this point he literally felt like he was drowning in his own sweat.
Mark, the Death assistant manages to plow right into you. He looks way worse than you could ever imagine yourself looking even now, and he shoves something at you, telling you to guard this with your life. A mobile tablet? (MOVE TO STEP 2, the mobile tablet has 5 HP. If you manage to not take 10 HP damage all the way to your exit, you can keep it ICly, works like a regular ipad, but with intranet). (MOVE TO STEP 2).
This was some s**t, "THIS IS SOME s**t!" Artemis yelled out, voice cracking. So much sand, so hot, he was just gonna die here. His weapon was jammed into the sand, giving him something to tiredly lean against as another yell was forced from dry throat, "HELP!" Yep, that was all he had, exhausted eyes started to close as he leaned against the double sickle.

SAHARA - > DEUS
Assisting the mystery young lady became significantly easier when she regained consciousness. Though Abbi really wanted to princess carry her to safety, she knew it would be smarter to give the girl a helping hand rather than tire herself out by carrying additional weight. Her re-summoned scythe provided a deal of protection until Abbi could hand her over to one of the techs assisting everyone through the portal. "Hey, no prob! And Peony is such a cute name wooow!" Abbi grinned at the girl before giving an informal and sloppy salute. "I'm Abbi! We'll do proper introductions later, I'll try to find you again, byyyeeeee!" And with that she turned back to the Sahara to help someone else.
Absently, Abbi remembered the tablet she'd been given, and despite the obvious danger, hurried to where she'd thought she'd dropped it. The tablet wasn't there, but a man lying facedown in the sand was. For a moment the young woman stood staring at his back, wondering how her tablet could have morphed into a person, before the same centipede leg that had previously felled the guy smacked into her. That cleared her thoughts considerably and she sprung into action. First, she rolled him over so he wouldn't breath any sand accidentally, that would have totally sucked to have him drown in the sand while she tried to save him. Secondly, she pulled out her personal set of bandages to try and keep him from bleeding out while she did step three. Which was to... Drag him out of the Sahara. "I'm really sorry Mister, but uh... Here we go?" She shoved her hands under his armpits and hauled with all her might. Twice she fell over, but thankfully the second time was when she pulled him through the portal and to safety.
"Big Damn Hero." Abbi whispered to herself proudly as she fell to the ground, too tired to bother standing any longer.

A heavy and hairy hand landed on Artemis's shoulder. Immediately after a shield with a fierce horned lion rose above him, blocking some of the sun, sand, and wind.
"Go on, git," Dawson told him good-naturedly, if not tiredly, as he gave the trainee a nudge. He needed to scoot as well, judging from the many abrasions now evident on his bare skin and clothes.

You just had to help someone, didn't you.
Dawson mentally shrugged as he tried to push his way forward. It was starting to get too much even for him. He could see the outsides of his vision darkening.

Somehow, he blundered through the portal, barely seeing where he was going. He managed exactly one, "Oh, there we go," as he registered where he was and then promptly collapsed.
Don't let the exhausted blank-face on Terry fool you, the Life trainee was very glad for the assist and once through the portal finally noticed he had a souvenir clinging to his leg.
------------
Joy wished she had enough strength to help Kai through the portal. Instead, a senior Sun Hunter arrived to save the day. The intermediate moon did her best to follow after them.
Despite the fact she couldn't even summon her weapon, she had to ask "Anything else I can do?" Her voice was weak and she was breathing hard but she was smiling all the same, as if her enthusiasm and sheer desire to be of use would be enough to keep her standing. Or was it that bug carapace providing a makeshift leg brace?

Brittney eagerly followed after Melvin but unfortunately stubbed her toe and tripped right through the portal, landing on her jaw with an audible thud. She quickly got back up and dusted herself of sand, scowling a threatening warning to anyone who would point out her less than graceful return to Deus.
1- 10: Ouch! Somehow you manage to stub your toe on a rock on the way out. -5 HP.
Her eye lids felt so heavy... Even with Li's booming demands filling her ears, they almost sounded muffled from the way her head was continuing to spin and how completely weighted her limbs felt.
Wait... Someone was... Lifting her...? Someone... Red and gold?
It took some effort but she managed to move her legs along with him. She knew she was more hinder than help, obviously...
"I owe ya'..." She could hear an agreement from within her head. As if she needed Li's permission for something like life debts.
She let her weight shift over onto the other as she limped her way across the ever-moving sand til she reached the portal. Sonja gave a light pat as a small sign of both appreciation and to confirm she'd be fine, regardless of Li's persistent nagging of her being the exact opposite.
"That ********' place can go die in an eternal fire..." She mumbled as before stepping through the portal.
She could have given less than two ******** about her tonfas dragging across the ground or that she had seemingly stubbed her toe on a rock before letting the light of the portal engulf her and a sudden pain climbing up her already bruised leg. All she knew was that once she passed through the portal her body knew it was back. That she had made it back into a safer space.
Her blurred vision settled onto several familiar figures. Dottie. Tobin. She tugged her face mask down enough to show off the scarred, blazing smile she emitted while catching a quick breathe.
The tiniest, tucked-in-a-corner ounce of energy she had left got her over to the pair before she crumpled to the floor on her side, landing just on the other side of Dottie. Everything hurt but... Safe. Though a stray thought floating before her vision-fading eyes... Where were the others? Were they alright? Were they...
